Brightwater Bed and Breakfast

Bedrooms 2
Property type hotel
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

A tastefully appointed large Bed and Breakfast set in the gorgeous Channel Country and only 20 minutes from Hobart. We offer accommodation for up to 5 adults and 1 infant in your private wing of the house.

Enjoy the sunroom next to the Mediterranean style courtyard or relax in the spacious gardens enjoying the magnificent views of Mt Wellington and the Northwest Bay. Or explore the flower and vege gardens while considering your next visit to one of many nearby attractions.

We have recently completely redecorated this wing of the house to cater for large or small families or just one travelling person who prefers the personal service and warmth of a home from home rather than a hotel.

We welcome all nationalities being bi-cultural ourselves and we have lived in many different countries, so we love meeting new people from all walks of life. We offer Aussie or Asian style breakfasts (Asian: nasi goreng or mie goreng with fresh mixed vegetables) and can help with advice on local attractions. Nearby attractions include the famous Bruny Island Cruise, Margate Train, great beaches and fishing, places of interest like the shot tower and boutique vin yards.

We will give you as much privacy or personal contact as suits you, we want your experience of staying with us to be memorable and easily affordable.

Right at home !

  • 5 of 5

An absolute idealic setting and property. it felt like a home away from home. The 4 poster bed was just beautiful and expansive ! Paintings around the walls and collections in cabinet along with old style furniture just made the place so warm to stay in. The outside courtyard so bright with flowers all around. Not to mention the friendly resident dogs !

The little outside setting away from the house near the trees just was breathtaking with the view down to the water and rolling hills in the background.

Hosts were most gracious and courteous and allowed us all the space we needed, breakfasts amazing and flavorsome. Especially the asian selection.

Thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone, in fact we plan to go back with friends at some stage.

Fantastic Service

  • 5 of 5

Richard and Indri made our one night stay a breeze; we had to change the date just 3 weeks out and this was no problem, we arrived late and departed early but they were there to assist us and Indri laid a beautiful breakfast-getting up at the crack of dawn to cook her Nasi goreng. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family of 5. Our son left behind a special toy and Richard posted him to us the following day, refusing to take money transfer for the cost. This is a fantastic spot just 10 minutes out of Hobart. Amenities are plentiful and the view is lovely, but most of all the value and service are second to none.

Clean & beautiful house with a warm welcome

  • 5 of 5

We were all surprised by the cleanness and beauty of the house. The bedrooms and bathroom were cleaned and decorated in my opinion to a hotel standard. I highly recommend this place for couples and family. The owners gave us a warm welcome and we all enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was amazing. It was a shame that we had to rush the next morning.

Lovely property, fantastic breakfasts!

  • 5 of 5

It was a lovely house, beautiful linen on the 4 poster bed, and the owners were so welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts were amazingly delicious and were of generous portions. Great complimentary fresh fruit basket and fruit juice. Cold winter mornings but cosy inside, the owners surprised me by very nicely clearing the ice from my car windscreen! Beyond the expected!

Fantastic home from home with heaps of space!

  • 5 of 5

My hubby and I stayed a night here, only wish we'd booked for longer! The property is as it says, clean, very spacious (would easily be room for a family with several kids) and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious with Indonesian style 'nasi goreng' and 'mie goreng' such a fantastic change from bacon and eggs! Veggies were from the home veggie patch and all cooked completely fresh. Views from the garden were fantastic, hosts Richard and Indri were incredibly accommodating and friendly, all in all a great stay!
