We have a no smoking policy. Being a farm with animals all gates to remain closed. If you go through a gate make sure it is closed behind you. Guests must be accompanied by someone on the farm when going into an area where the Ostrich or the Rams are being kept. Instructions will be given on arrival. We are also on tank water so water is precious and not to be wasted. Stay within demarcated areas.
Enjoy the farm experience.
My husband (Patrick) and I (Leonie) are farmers on the South coast. Enjoy sharing our piece of paradise with others. Ran a successful flower farm for many years hosting groups of tourists to see the flowers. We are now changing crop, expanding our sheep flock and investing in a new vineyard. We have traveled overseas many times. Enjoy camping, old movies and outdoor slow cooking.
Guests will be allowed to help with feeding of farm animals and collecting eggs if they so wish. Supervision of children will be required. Children can get to hold lambs and chicks if in season.
There is always something to do and a tractor ride can be arranged.
Guests can at their own risk paddle in the creek or swim in the dam.
We are resident on the farm and will be doing farm activities mainly early morning or late afternoon. We are happy to respect guests privacy. You are also more than welcome to interact and participate in activities with us or just enjoy the tranquility and watch the large amount of wonderful birds that visit our property.
At night (weather permitting) enjoy an open fire outside in the paddock and watch the stars.
Whats to do off the farm?
We have the best of both worlds here. We have the quiet of the country and are only minutes away from many beautiful beaches, forests and walks.
We also have some of the best coffee shops and restaurants as close as 3km away in the Milton area. There is a good bakery and also an IGA for general shopping. Milton is a historic town that has a lot to offer and has street markets on the 1st Saturday of every month.
Being on a rural property there is no public transport but there are cabs that will come out this way for a fee. There is a sealed road to the gate of Gzone Farm.
