Uninterrupted ocean and sunset view with NO ROAD between the you and the beach!

It is rare to find a house (in Adelaide or anywhere in the world, really) where your front garden cascades directly to the sandy dunes and gently lapping sea. We love this location and want to give you, our guest, the opportunity to experience the magic of living this close to the ocean.

This is a lovely, relaxed beach house that pays full tribute to the sea and views. Open the front door and the salty sea air and warm sun instantly takes you away from what ever is happening in the rest of your daily life. It is truly exhilarating. Don't come here if you are looking for something super modern or gleamingly glamorous because we believe that when you come to the beach you should feel comfortable and in the zone for all things related to the surf and sun. We want you to be fully present to the elements and enjoy the space. We expect you to feel you can traipse inside with sandy feet and leave your beach towels where they lay, eat your fish and chips inside or out and kick back and enjoy being somewhere incredibly special.

Our home is fully self contained and takes in the best sea (and sunset) views from the comfort of the couch in the living room to sharing a meal under the shade of the expansive outdoor dining area. The view from the master bedroom is extraordinary, too. There is sleeping room for eight (up to 6 adults and 2 children) with a king sized bed, single bunk, single bed and a double bunk (double below, single above) in three separate bedrooms. Public transport is close by or there is off road car parking. Fully ducted air-conditioning/heating will make your stay here in the summer or winter months very comfortable. Two showers (one bath) and two toilets, laundry and dishwasher help to make your temporary beach house a place to relax and enjoy. We welcome you to experience a truly special piece of Adelaide's local beach oasis.


This home has been furnished in keeping with a beach side feeling, with a splash of retro, using quality mid century items of furniture. Total inside space is approx 120 square meters, plus outdoor patio and rear courtyard of approx 100 square meters. Solid brick construction ensures privacy and minimal noise between our unit and the only other attached premise. There are no steps or stairs to get into the apartment and no stairs inside. There is a large garage which uses a remote control to operate the roller door.


- Bedroom 1 has 1 x king bed with walk-in robe (sleeps 2 in this room)

- Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed (single) and a single bed (3 beds in total)

- Bedroom 3 has a very comfortable and solid double bunk bed (single on top). There is a built in wardrobe. (sleeps 3 in this room)

- All linen provided. Beds are made up with linen : sheets and quilts

- All rooms have ducted heating and air-conditioning

Please advise if you are travelling with Infants and children so that appropriate bedding etc can be accommodated. It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that children are adequately and appropriately supervised both inside and outside of the apartment at all times during the stay to ensure the child's personal safety and proper care of the property.


Pets are not permitted.


This unit is a privately owned property. When an accommodation booking is made, the use of the house, outdoor patio, gardens and grounds is for the number of booked and paying guests and while visitors are welcome they are not permitted to stay overnight, without prior notification. Parties, functions, celebrations and events of any kind are to be held with due respect to the neighbours and with consideration to the property.

About Gen Casucci

My dream has been to live by the sea and that is why I own this beautiful house. When my husband. my two children and I aren't staying here we want to share it with anyone else who has a desire to experience what it's like wake up to the sound of the waves.

I work in Adelaide as a consultant and have created flexibility in my working day so that I'm available to manage this house through Airbnb. We have beach toys and books, linen and kitchen utensils and many games to keep children and adults amused. As the saying goes..."Mi casa e' tu casa" (my house is your house)

Come and enjoy the best part of Adelaide at our favourite local beach.

Oh, and, of course, I love to travel, so if I'm not in Adelaide I'm somewhere else emersing in a different culture, enjoying it with my husband and children. Maybe I will be in your part of the world!

Awesome Ambience, Sensational Sunsets, Brilliant

We absolutely loved our 6 night stay at Sandpiper....right on the beach with no roads to cross. Huge big picture windows to gaze out of and watch the amazing sunsets over the water and the pods of dolphins cruising past. It is located in a very quiet and safe area and the beach is easily accessed via a path in front of the house. We walked in phosphorescent water at night; magic!

The house (it's actually a duplex) is not huge but slept 5 adults adequately and can sleep up to 8 people. It was really clean and well stocked on arrival and we were able to have a cuppa before heading over to Westfield Shopping centre to stock up. No food shops close by though so not ideal if you are on foot. That said, everything else was just perfect and Gen was very helpful and wonderful to deal with. There is lots of stuff in the garage to take to the beach plus books, movies, games etc to amuse yourself with.

There are some great pubs and restaurants within a short driving distance or if you're fit, you can walk along the beach to some of them. Overall, I would highly recommend Sandpiper Beachhouse for its quiet beachside location, amenities, cleanliness and ambience. Can you throw in a sandwich press and patio servery for our next visit? Wow! What s place!!!

Perfectly positioned to enjoy a relax or play on the grass or stroll a few metres to be at the beach. Well equipped with leisure equipment for all ages. The house has a magnificent view to be enjoyed from the kitchen, dining room, lounge, master bedroom and the outdoor entertainment area. Suitable for a couple to a large family. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the metro area.

A true home away from home but better!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great home/house because it is very clean, has everything you'd want/need and a perfect view of the beach from the lounge and you are on the beach in 2 minutes. The cupboards and garage are stocked with toys, games you can use. The bed is very comfortable and has a great view. You can even lye in bed overlooking the sea. A perfect house with great owners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gen is a such an accommodating and lovely host!! Everything was set up for me and my family to enjoy our Adelaide trip (we wished we have stayed longer!)

Beachside Bliss!

We loved every moment of our time spent at this idyllic home, metres from the waves of the ocean.

The house had everything one would desire to feel relaxed and on holiday! Our three children loved the array of toys and wonderful DVD collection. We loved the kitchen that had every single utensil and piece of crockery you would need to cook beautiful meals or entertain friends.

Gen is the most gracious and thoughtful hostess we will ever meet! Stunning home - wonderful host. We will be back!

Fantastic, clean, great for family holiday with large group (9 and one baby - owner even left cot and high chair). Lots of things to do (bikes, kayaks, etc. in garage). Will definatley recommend staying and can't wait to come back!

The Sandpiper beach house is ideally positioned along the beautiful Adelaide coastline, just 25 minutes drive from the Adelaide city centre. The home sits on top of a sand dune, with uninterrupted views of the ocean and the beach of West Lakes Shore. EVERY single night there is a sunset right in front of our house. As there is no road between us and the beach, there is also no noise other than the sound of the ocean. There is some grass to play, picnic or lie on and the option to turn left to walk 4 kilometers to Grange Beach and 3 kilometers to the right and walk to Semaphore beach. Both with a village life and spectacular jetty's.

There are restaurants and cafe's within a 5-10 minute drive (SO many in Semaphore, Henley Beach and Grange) or, for a shopping experience, there is the Westfields complex 2km's away (with all the known stores, boutiques, and grocery shops and with food halls and cinema). A bus links you directly to the city.
