We had a relaxed stay. Plenty of room - we had 4 families. Whilst the bathrooms and kitchen are dated everything is clean. The beds are sooo comfortable. There are fantastic touches like dvd's board games etc, a whole range of spreads to go on the bread, eggs tea coffee. Everything you could ask for to get started. We had a minor glitch with the hot water but that's was fixed within 15 minutes. Couldn't ask for anything more

Beautiful property!!

  • 5 of 5

Our group enjoyed our stay! Breathtaking views as you wake up in the morning, beautiful sounds of the wildlife throughout the day. Did not want to get out of bed, the king size beds were AMAZING!! So comfortable!! Deanne was the perfect host, leaving a few breakfast staples for the 1st morning which we appreciated so much. Would defiantly stay here again! Thank you from the Redlands muddies 7s rugby team

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Byron Bay Hinterland Views whilst my husband and I were attending a nearby wedding. We visited with our small children (2 years and 6 months) as well as my parents and found the house to be extremely spacious for all or us. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy. We enjoyed the many homely touches as well as the fabulous food left for us. Deanne had also kindly set up a toddler bed and portacot ready to go for our arrival. Our toddler was in heaven with the large range of toys, crayons, chalkboard, bubbles, dvd's and many books. The outdoor dining area was lovely. We would happily stay again and thoroughly recommend. Thank-you for an enjoyable stay. Sharon

Magical week away!

  • 5 of 5

What a magical week we had away with our family staying at this beautiful homestead. The views from all around the property are just stunning and our 3 children had a ball running around, exploring and spotting the local wildlife.

The house was perfectly set up for us all with plenty of room for the kids and their own play area and then our own parents area at the front of the house. All the amazing food provided was so yummy and from the local area which we loved. Deanne had filled with house with all of the essentials and all of the linen provided was of such good standard and the beds especially comfy!

The location of the house was just a perfect base for us to explore the local area and we did so many different things ranging from bushwalks, looking at waterfalls, time at the beach and exploring all the local little towns. All in all it was the perfect holiday for us and we will definitely be back!

Peaceful | Relaxing | Luxurious Bed | Top Host

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect location for my relaxing weekend spent with a large group of friends! While it's peaceful and secluded enough for a romantic getaway, we filled the house with 7 of us over the weekend recently and it was perfect! It's set off the main road, up the cutest winding driveway lined with beautiful leafy trees and long orchids. On arrival, our host and owner greeted us. Not only was she super friendly and professional, she knew loads about the local area and gave us the low down on a great restaurant in town: Harvest (I'd highly recommend a visit there too!).

We arrived to tea, coffee, mints and a few sweets in the rooms. On putting our bags down, I noticed the ridiculously sumptuous beds. Honestly, they looked amazing. I later had the pleasure of sleeping in one of the guest beds and it was as comfortable as it looked (and then some). I'm an advocate for cleanliness (& nice sheets) and these were out of this world. The bed and bath linen were beyond luxurious. The house was extremely clean and tidy.

The decor is french country themed throughout the rooms and dining area, and it's clear that the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to carry this throughout the home. This is no mean feat when you consider the size of the home (& the granny flat too!). While the guest bathroom and kitchen haven't been updated to reflect the french country theme, they are a cute vintage style with a huge amount of cupboard space. Plus, they are exceptionally clean and tidy throughout.

The provisions provided also included breakfast: coffee; tea; fresh milk; toast; bacon and eggs; along with a range of gourmet cereals. There were ample toiletries: bath linen; soaps; etc. In any case, the local general store was only a few minutes drive if we needed anything. We also had access to a range of our hosts' DVDs, board games, games for the kids and outdoor games.

Outside, there was plenty of space to look around. We walked through the custard apple orchard and saw two koalas in the gumtrees above (on the right-hand side of the house as you drive up the drive-way if you're keen to look!). There were views to boot, and plenty of animals to listen too.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to friends, it certainly provided exactly what we needed for a relaxing group holiday away with friend (+ some unexpected bonuses while we were there!). Thank you to our hosts for making our stay so pleasurable. We'll most certainly be back soon!
