Overview

About the property

Large pet friendly eco cabins (2 cabins) with deck and private courtyard overlooking rainforest with large dam for swimming, only 3km from Byron. Very peaceful rural setting with lots of birds.

Attached toilet and separate hot water shower for each cabin. Gas cooktops and Weber BBQ, chest fridge and dining facilities are in a covered communal area which is situated between the 2 cabins. There is a fire pit just outside the communal area. Firewood is available from the local petrol station. There is also a long table and chairs and a day bed in the communal area.

Each eco cabin is very private and has a large courtyard with hammock and table and chairs next to the communal area. When you arrive you can unload your car next to the cabin but then please park in the car park near the entrance and not far from the cabins. The cabins are well insulated so stay cool in summer and warm in winter. There are screens on the windows and a screen on the sliding door so the windows and door can be left open to allow a good cross-flow.

The cabins are set on a 20 acre farm with horses, cows, geese, chooks and 3 very friendly ducks. We are off-grid, so all power is generated by solar. Come and try a true eco-friendly stay. Rest assured we do have power points in each cabin to charge phones etc. There is good internet coverage on our land.

Each cabin has a queen bed. Charges are based on 2 people using the queen bed. There is also a comfortable double sofa bed in the cabin but there is additional charge of $40 per person per night for the 3rd person.

Linen is provided but please bring your own towels. If you are flying here and luggage space is an issue, we can provide towels but please let us know.

The cabins are cycling distance (3km) to town and we can provide you with bikes. We have horses on the land and at times can arrange rides with a local person. if you want to go out and enjoy the nightlife of Byron and don't want to drive, we are only a short taxi ride away.

Dogs are welcome but please make sure they don't chase farm animals or birds. If you provide bedding for your dog, he/she can stay in the cabin but please keep off all furniture. Would appreciate if you swept up any dog hair before leaving. Please pick up all dog poo and put in the bin.

Please let us know if you are bringing a dog as there is an additional charge of $40 per dog for stays up to 2 nights, and $60 per dog for stays between 3 and 5 nights. After 5 nights the price is negotiable.

Portacot and linen available for $40/stay. Just potacot $20/stay

Absolutely divine!

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary and absolutely adored these Eco cabins. Very serene and peaceful. Would recommend for a couple or even a group of four and booking both cabins. Will definitely be back.

Excellent eco cabin experience

  • 5 of 5

My 13 year old daughter and I had a wonderful experience staying 6 nights in one of the cabins. The surroundings are spectacular and peaceful. The owners are extremely welcoming and thoughtful. We would love to return in the future and I highly recommend this property to others.

delightfully peaceful stay, stunning surrounds and delightful hosts....highlight was swimming in the glorious dam (better than any resort pool).,and meeting the cows and geese...perhaps the rustic elements wont suit the 5 star set,but i found all facilities functional and clean...perfect place to chill right out, would move there tomorrow hehe...highly recommend...cant wait to return...ps my old dog loved it too;-)

Quite farmstay

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our time at the farm, very peaceful and still so close to Byron, unfortunately we missed the birth of a calf.

Nice spot

  • 3 of 5

It was lovely to be out of frenetic Byron, yet still close enough to enjoy the cafes and beaches. The cabin is adorable and very clean, but I was a little dissatisfied with the very basic shower stalls and camp kitchen. My three days was very enjoyable, however, and I had a very nourishing rest. It was a treat to have my dog welcomed, with lots of space to walk her.
