This fresh two bedroom brick townhouse-style unit is situated close to the Alice Springs CBD. Reverse cycle air conditioning is provided in the downstairs living area and in both upstairs bedrooms to allow escape from both the Central Australian summer daytime heat or cold winter nights. Full cooking facilities are provided via the electric hot plate, oven and microwave, and with a selection of cookware. A large fridge (with separate freezer compartment) is also supplied.

Both bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs. The main bedroom boasts a queen size bed, with a large private balcony/deck perfect for relaxing in the evening. The second bedroom has one single bed and a bunk. Linen and towels are provided. A portable cot and high chair are also available on request.

The laundry contains a free-to-use washing machine. A second toilet is also located downstairs for added convenience.

Television, DVD player, movies and a radio/CD player are provided.

The complex provides a swimming pool and a gym in the central common area, for those wishing to cool down or burn off a few calories.

The unit complex is enclosed within a security fence, accessed via a keypad-entry gate, which adds further peace of mind. A roller door encloses the property's single carport. This unit is situated at the rear of the complex next to the guest car parking, so if you have a high-clearance vehicle there is parking available directly outside the property's rear courtyard.

Please note there is no room for trucks or oversize vehicles inside the complex area. Oversize vehicles will have to park outside the complex, but there is a pedestrian access gate close to the front door of this property with access to the side street.

We have stayed in short term rental accommodation ourselves, and we are intent on providing our guests with the same things we appreciated. There is a fixed price per night, and a discount rate for 7 nights or more. We do not charge extra on a per person per night basis, but now have a per person per stay charge to cover the cleaner's extra laundry workload. The rental price is the same for up to 5 people. About Andrew Mann

In late 2013 our family holidayed in Western Australia, staying in two holiday rentals which we had never done before. These two homes were in stark contrast to each other. The first home felt welcoming in every respect, with an abundance of room, and well laid out furniture to support a variety of guest requirements and uses. We absolutely enjoyed our time in this home, and appreciated the large list of “extras” that the owners had made available. Sadly, the second home was disappointing to say the least. Without going into details, we departed with rather unpleasant memories of this experience. With return home and back to “normal” life, these experiences faded into the background.

Approx 18 months later in mid 2015, we found ourselves contemplating listing our own property on a short term rental site. Our good/bad experience previously described was a major influence in this process. We decided to “give it a go”, with every intention to emulate the “good” property, and do everything we could to make our guests feel welcome. With the size limitation of a 2-bedroom townhouse, we decided a comfortable amount of guests would be 5. With our own experience in mind regarding very unfair “per person – per night” extra fees, we also decided to keep our pricing structure reasonable and at the lower end of the market so to be accessible to families.

It has been a learning process, with many changes made during the first few guest visits – and has certainly been a challenge. We strive to ensure each of our guests have an enjoyable stay, and our hope is that each of our guests depart with fond memories of their stay and of Alice Springs.

Notes:
A foam mattress (suitable for a child) can be provided as an additional item ($20 per stay). A suggested use location would be beside the queen bed in the main bedroom. We can also supply a highchair ($20 per stay) and/or a porta-cot ($20 per stay). However the new HomeAway interface is really quite limiting in function, and does not provide an interface for guests to select optional extras. If you would like any of the above extras, please make contact and the stay fee will have to be manually adjusted. For drying clothes in wet weather, a clothes horse / clothes rack is provided, which you will find in the courtyard shed.

exceptional apartment, very clean, nice and warm and quiet. 5 Ladies stayed for Golf open, Kitchen was well equipped, full size fridge. very comfortable bedding large bathroom and living area. 5 minutes to everywhere we needed to be. good collection of DVDs

We had an absolutely lovely time staying at Perentie apartment. It was clean, very comfortable and we were able to really relax there. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and ensure we had everything we needed. I will be recommending it to anyone I know who needs accommodation whilst visiting Alice Springs.

We are three retired friends travelling together and we stayed at Perentie Apartment, Alice Springs, for 12 nights in April 2016.

We found the property to be very comfortable (beds and lounges were great), quite spacious and well equipped, with effective air conditioning units both upstairs and downstairs. For families, the owners have even catered for younger children, with some toys and books, as well as numerous appropriate DVDs.

The property is secure (coded entry), with adequate onsite car parking available. It is a short drive to the CBD (a flat walk which would probably take about 10 to 15minutes), and it is quite close to a number of local tourist attractions.

The owners were most helpful, before, during and after our stay and always answered our emails.

We would highly recommend this property, for friends travelling together, but also for families. For its quality, its inclusions and its convenience, this apartment was very reasonably priced. We were grateful to have found it on the Stayz site.
