Lovely property, very tidy and a beautiful outlook.
It was a little hard to find initially, but that was our GPS messing with us. We were met by Dean and a chilled bottle of champagne for my birthday, a lovely , thoughtful gesture. Dean is a friendly and welcoming host.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and even though it was relatively close to the main house we felt very private and secluded.
We fished in Baffle Creek, which is stunning, and Dean was kind enough to loan us his tackle bag and chairs. We only caught a catfish, but it was such a lovely time.
Make sure to take everything you need, as it is a bit of a way to get a loaf of bread, and if you are looking for a holiday to do nothing, then this is definitely the holiday for you.
Our only complaint is that the bed was not comfortable, the spring type, and a double which is difficult with a husband that is tall and all elbows when he sleeps, we would have been very happy to pay more for a comfy bed.
Overall, we left happy and refreshed and would recommend this accomodation to anyone.
Thankyou Dean (and milly).
I enjoyed your stay. Thank you Dean
great little hut nice and piece full
Very nice property and good people happy to help out with local knowledge an fishing tips on the area
Peace and Tranquility
We stayed in the comfortable bijou residence for 10 days in order to unwind from our hectic year, and recharge our batteries. If you are looking to 'get away from it all' and are used to making your own entertainment, then this is the place. Situated at the end of a 7km track, within walking distance of Baffle Creek, the rural property is 'au natural', surrounded by much bird and wildlife - we saw over 30 different varieties of birds and a few goannas. The creek can be easily reached where fishing and crabbing are the order of the day. Catching your supper is dependent upon the natural order of things, but we managed to catch a number of crabs, most of which were undersized!!! The host, Dean, is very approachable and knows the local area well and can suggest places to visit. Thanks, Dean, for a great stay!!
Once again I enjoyed the experience offering a little bit of paradise. Thank you for being understanding and excellent guests. You will always be welcome for rest and recreation; hopefully with a little more reliable fishing when the creek returns to its naturally salty self.
Wonderful stay at Paringa, beautiful location, excellent host named Dean, couldn't do enough to help. Cabin is quaint and has everything you could need. We were welcomed warmly and our three dogs were welcome. Beautiful creek to cool off in. Highly recommend Paringa if you are looking for simplicity and a quiet location. Thank you Dean, no complaints at all
Thank you for your visit. It was a joy to share the farming life with your family
Back to Nature
Beautiful property situated at Baffle Creek. Enjoyed walking, listening to birds, star gazing and a great campfire alongside the Creek - could even hear the splash of a fish. Perfect location for a tranquil "piece of paradise" in the bush.
Thank you for your review. Reverse cycle aircon and a tv and DVD, even though the reception is dodgy at times has been a positive change this "winter". It is also rewarding for the host to interact with such lovely guests
Cooking was hard on 2 electric hot plates, no tv was upsetting, bed very comfortable, very clean , Host was a very nice man.over all nice stay. Fishing was poor and no boat ramp for car.
Thank you for your review. The place to launch a tinny is only useable with 4 wheel drive. I offered the use of my ute but was declined. Unfortunately I have no control over the fishing.
