A Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place for us to stay during our weekend in Canberra. The house is well located just off Northbourne Avenue (for visitors who, like us, are unfamiliar with the layout of the city) and is clean, comfortable and well-appointed. We would not hesitate to stay here again, and highly recommend the property to others - especially families.

Safe, comfortable property

  • 4 of 5

A clean, safe, quiet and comfortable home. Well equipped with everything you need to enjoy a home away from home. New, good quality beds and a good size bathroom with separate toilet worked well for the five of us - two couples and a teenager. The hosts were very polite and helpful and the location while a little out of town, had a lovely ambiance and proximity to walks - so a nice balance..

Good Property, Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We hired the property to stay close to family when we were holidaying in Canberra. The property was clean and everything was working, it was comfortable and quiet and the location was great for what we wanted. Only very minor details could be improved, for example a second set of keys, some powder for the dishwasher, and a large pot. However, these are all very minor issues, and we would definitely recommend this property to other holiday makers :)

A wonderful welcome to Canberra!

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect family home to begin our new life here in Australia. My two children (5 and 8 years), my husband and I emigrated from the UK and stayed here for several weeks while we explored and settled into Canberra. The house was clean, modern and well equipped that made our stay so comfortable we were able to easily focus on setting ourselves up properly.

There are some wonderful routes for biking and walking in the Watson area, including the national park around Mt Majura. We often made the 2 minute walk to the national park from the house as a family early evening time to watch the wild kangaroos come down off the mountain to graze.

Our children particularly enjoyed their stay here as we were only a ten minute walk from a number of playgrounds sporting plenty of equipment to have fun on.

We were without a car so we made heavy use of public transport, primarily buses. The stop for the number 39 service is just over a 5 minute walk away which takes you through Dickson and on into the city where its possible to get buses to anywhere in Canberra.

The owners were in contact regularly to ensure we were happy and comfortable - which we were - great job guys!

Both my husband and I agree we would most certainly recommend this gem of a property to anyone wanting to experience the beauty and convenience of The Bush Capital.

lovely place

We enjoyed staying at this house. It was comfortable, warm, plenty of space, and very convenient (only a short drive to the centre of Canberra). Also the owners were very friendly and easy to work with.
