Around and About

Portarlington is one and a half hour drive from Melbourne and an hours drive from Torquay and The Great Ocean Road.

Portarlington is a quiet, seaside town where water sports are very popular.

It boasts safe swimming beaches and is very popular all year round for fishing.

The local golf course is one of Victoria's hidden gems, winning many awards in the last few years and is

only one km from Foottloose.(borrow a set of clubs from Angela and have a game!)

The Bellarine Peninsula is well known as a premium wine growing region with many boutique wineries and restaurants dotted through the area and Geelong region.

Portarlington is famously known for it's aquaculture industry, mainly mussels and rightly so. Every weekend they are sold straight off the boats on the pier and are sensational eating.

Relaxing Easter break

  • 5 of 5

Just had a wonderful relaxing holiday at Foottloose. Such a comfortable home with everything provided, and only minutes from the golf course. Daisy (dog) enjoyed her walks along the beach. Photos of our BBQ dinners (by chef Paul) posted on Facebook

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Great location. Very relaxing, walking distance to the main shopping strip and close to the beach. We enjoyed the decking with views of the bay. Spent the mornings having a cup of tea and reading the paper. It was very peaceful.

Beachside Bliss

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful beachside home. The property is a few doors from a lovely beach which is great for 4 legged family members. We loved the outside area with BBQ to use which we loved. The views are great from the many windows facing the ocean and from the outside deck area. We found the home so comfortable and had everything we could need. We will definitely be back for another longer stay next time. Totally recommend this wonderful house to anyone wanting a great comfortable home next to the beach. Thankyou Angela for making our stay so easy and providing us with a great place to stay. Also the bed was so comfy, we had the best sleep.

Owner's Response: Thank you Denise for such nice words regarding Foottloose. It is very satisfying to know we are getting things right for our guests. Did you use the herbs and veggies we have in the garden for your use. The eggplants and tomatoes have been beautiful and the wild rocket is popping up everywhere. Hopefully you will be back soon. Kind regards Angela

Bright and homely

  • 4 of 5

Just what we needed, the place was well presented, clean and welcoming. Loved the open plan, and lot's of light.

Plenty of equipment in the kitchen, could have been pehaps placed in containers, other than laying on shelves, but a small point. Most places have a hairdryer, we missed it here.Washing machine with detergent welcome as was the dishwasher.

Very nice deck area and outlook through the trees to Corio bay.

Wifi available,unfortunately a very weak signal,was a little frustrating.

We chose it as it was dog friendly,ok to have small dog inside, but if your dog a wanderer,as ours is, not too good as no fences, to give the place it's due, fences would have spoit the atmosphere of the joint properties.

Probably for the owners information, property does need some tlc, inside and out, but it should not stop you from stop you from staying at this nice place.
