My home is a traditional, English style, Bed & Breakfast, situated in Green Point on the Central Coast, on the east bank of Brisbane Waters. My B&B is in-house accomodation and has filtered views of the estuary, a large expanse of still water 18km in length, that extends from Hardy’s Bay to Gosford. The Estuary is great for sailing, kayaking, rowing, supb'ing, windsurfing and fishing. (Please note: the photos taken of the sunset across Brisbane Waters are actually taken from the Waterside Reserve).
I am less than a minute's walk to this lovely waterside reserve that meanders along the waterfront for approx. a mile. The birdlife here is abundant and in the evening when the cicadas start up, you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside.
As Green Point faces the west, in the afternoons, walking along the Reserve, you get to see the most magnificent sunsets across the water as the sun sets beyond the hills of WoyWoy. There are some lovely other walks to be encountered in the area.....Kincumber Mountain, Somersby Falls, Boudii National Park, as well as all the lovely beaches in the local area: Avoca, Terrigal, and further afield, McMasters, Little Beach, the lovely secluded Maitland Bay, Killcare, Hardy's Bay, Pearl Beach and Patonga to name just a few gems.
I am within close proximity of Gosford (8mins), Avoca Beach (12-15mins) and Erina Fair (6-8mins) and a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. If you are travelling by train, I can organise to pick you up at Gosford Train station.
If you are feeling energetic, there are some lovely cycling routes on the
Central Coast. The new WoyWoy cycle path is a great one to do or the full perimeter of Brisbane Waters for the more cycling enthusiast.
My Bed & Breakfast is in-house accommodation. You can also use the kitchen facilities should you want to cook, and have full use of the dining area, the lounge room and the pool. The house is open plan downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. There are wide, sunny, north facing decks you can relax and dine, or chill out by the pool.
Please note: Incredibly, there is no TV in the house, sorry. If you play the piano, there is a well tuned piano that you can play at your leisure.
The bedroom is a decent sized double room with Queen size bed and built-in wardrobes. The bathroom, although not an en-suite, is solely for your use. It has twin basins, shower and bath. If you are here on business working, I can accommodate you with a desk as well. I also have a second, smaller double room with a Double bed, if there are four adults wanting to stay or if you have children.
I enjoy the outdoors.... getting out on the water kayaking or out in my garden and have a lovely vegetable patch in the back garden that I raid most evenings.
I love cooking, so breakfasts are always a treat and with advanced notice, can cook you an evening meal on request. Though this would be in addition to the rates indicated.
Please note well....my home is a NON-SMOKING HOUSEHOLD, so please, NON-SMOKERS ONLY, thank you.
Enjoy your stay.
