About the property

A home of grand proportions and Tuscan inspired design. Set on a 1290 sqm corner block with a leafy outlook and just short walk to Kenmore Village. There are three good sized bedrooms, master with ensuite and walk in robe and built in robes to each of the other two rooms. Large office with aircon downstairs and a living area with soaring ceilings and three sets of french doors to the private terrace. Classic styled and quality built timber kitchen positioned next to the formal dining room.

Kenmore is a lovely leafy residential suburb around 10kms south east of Brisbane CBD yet still on the north side of the river. Excellent schools, public transport (bus) in the next street, and a 10 minute drive to the large Westfield shopping, restaurant and cinema complex at Indooroopilly. This is a convenient location for access to the Western suburbs and Ipswich as it is near to the Western Freeway, or access the city by the new Legacy Way tollway or by a riverside drive along Coronation Drive.

Large and comfortable house

I am writing this review a bit late - but I was reminded of it as we were there one year ago.

In short this is a great house for your family to stay in, in a great suburb, with great customer service.

The house is a hilly but accessible walk from two shopping centres in Kenmore. It was maybe 2 min drive to the shops. This was very handy. To drive into Brisbane city took maybe 15min not in peak hour. It was about 1/2 hr to Ipswich where I was working for a short time (hence us staying there). Easy access to the freeways once you got through Kenmore.

We had the pleasure of interacting with both the owner and the property manager, both of whom were fantastic.

One thing you need to know about the house is that there are three bedrooms upstairs, and all but one have a/c, and the study downstairs has no door but can be used as a bedroom and does have a/c.

The house is well cooled by these units.

The kitchen is a great size, well equipped. There is a baby seat. They got an inflatable mattress for us for free (it is still there I imagine) when we had a couple of people stay for a short time when we were there.

There is wifi (unlimited), and Foxtel, though the TV is a bit small.

The issues we had was resolved very quickly - the house was not cleaned from the last people who were there. The sheets were in piles at the end of the beds and the carpets were a bit dirty. We washed the sheets and vacuumed and the place was fine. We informed the owner who immediately transferred the cleaning fee back into our accounts (we paid upfront for about 5-6 weeks). There were also no towels which I think took us by surprise and was a bit frustrating as we should have brought our own. We bought some and then took them home with us. Though I imagine the owner will be on top of this as this was mentioned in the other review on this site.

It has a remote control gate with ample off street parking, though it is a squeeze to suggest that you could get 2 cars undercover (which we did). This is important because of the hail we got one day.

We left this place feeling rested and would love to return when we're up there next.

Great property

we really enjoyed our stay. plenty of room for us all. only down fall was that we had to purchase towels as they were not supplied.
