Lovely Historic Homestead
This is a great stay. Lovely historic homestead amongst expansive beautiful gardens in peaceful surrounds. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Adele, the host, was very welcoming and accomodating. Lots of small towns and wineries nearby and lots of things to do. Close to Woodend, Macedon, Hanging Rock, Kyneton which we visited. Well worth a visit and highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing!!!
This was our second stay at the property and it was every bit as good as the first stay. The home is enchanting. The old homestead has an authentic period feel with furnishings that are both comfortable and in keeping with the historic nature of the property. There are gorgeous quirky surprises around every corner. The gardens are magnificent with lots of different spaces to explore. Adele and Ross are fabulous hosts. The communication was excellent and they go out of their way to ensure everything you might need during the stay is provided. Thank you so much Adele for making our school reunion amazing.

Sisters
Our 2nd stay at The Manse June 2022 was just as 'warm' as our first. A beautiful ambience, all amenities we needed, and the beds just so comfortable. Our host, Adele, is so welcoming, without being intrusive. We four mature age sisters enjoyed our stay very much.

The Manse provided us with a lovely relaxing weekend away. We spent our time sitting around either of the open fires, cooking and chatting. The perfect place to do this! Adele is an amazing host and made everything so easy!

I grew up in The Netherlands and worked there as a teacher in arts/textiles for many years.
In my 30th I migrated to Australia and worked as an arts therapist in a MS day centre.
After that I joined my husband Ross in his health food shop and also ran a health cafe with gourmet catering for quite a few years.
A few years ago we started renovating the historic Manse. I myself designed and created all the interiors while Ross designed and build all the rockeries and gardens.
We are very proud of what we have achieved to bring this 1862 home back to it's former glory and much more.
In 2015 the homestead was ready for accommodation as a peaceful retreat.

Why they chose this property

We looked for quite a few years for a property with character and the feeling of peace.
We travelled often through the Macedon Ranges and found the area of Lancefield having a peaceful energy. By devine guidance we were drawn to this property as soon it went on the market.
From that very first day we felt we were the chosen guardians of this property and that should be enjoyed by others.

What makes this property unique

This homestead was build for the minister of the Presbyterian church. This was ones the home for many families for the ministers from the church.
The house is full of original features, all the fire places are intact and the original cooking fire place is still as it was in the 1800's.
The grounds have tree's over 100 yrs old which gives the property its ambiance and tranquility.
