Morrison Cottage charming holiday home

Bedrooms 4
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 5 nights

About the property

Morrison Cottage is a delightful original timber cottage built in the 1930's with three original jarrah timber lined bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with two single beds. It has been extended to accomodate a generous fourth bedroom, large fully equipped kitchen and dining area which overlooks the large, sloping fenced back garden and magnificent views over the township of Albany. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, full oven and microwave. All cutlery and crockery is provided. The house also includes a laundry with washing machine, separate toilet and bathroom with a generous bath. Bedding and towels are provided. A large covered back verandah with barbecue and a separate outdoor sitting area provide delightful outdoor dining and contemplation areas.

We allow pets and the back garden is fenced, there is also a double garage allowing parking for two cars. We ask that you contact us to discuss your pet's stay and we charge an additional $50 for additional cleaning. Please do not allow pets onto furniture or bedding.

The house is accessible by driveway from Serpentine Road, however it is quite steep, access is also available from the back lane which runs off Jeffries Road.

Things to do around Albany

The cottage is very close (1km) to the centre of Albany and the main shopping and restaurant strip is on York St.

There are excellent cafes, restaurants and other interesting shops on York Street. There are a number of art and craft galleries and exhibitions, particularly over the summer, in Albany and in surrounding areas. Albany boasts its own concert hall, and summer music festival. Saturday morning Farmer's markets are open off Collie Street at the bottom of York Street, and Boatshed markets in the harbour area are open Sunday morning.

Outdoor activities include numerous stunning beaches and National Parks, including Torndirrup National Park (dogs are not permitted in National Parks). Dog walking beaches are available off Middleton Beach in Albany and Goode Beach in Frenchman's Bay. Other places of interest in the surrounding areas include wineries, chocolatier and Green's pool and Elephant Rocks in the Denmark Walpole region approximately 50 km from Albany.
