The waterfront position provides impressive views of the harbour in one direction and down the Parramatta River towards Cockatoo Island in the other. Make the most of the panoramic water views by enjoying a meal on the deck or retire to a deck chair on sunset with a glass of your favourite.

The Location:

Birchgrove is located next to Sydney's Inner West Balmain peninsula, overlooking Sydney Harbour. Its idyllic natural surrounds and waterfront position provides a perfect location to take a break.

Start the day with an invigorating nature walk before cooling off your feet at Snail's Bay sandy beach, a short stroll away.

Enjoy a spot of lunch at nearby Balmain village where you’ll find plenty of cuisine choices and quaint pubs. Spend the afternoon picking up some bargains at the Birkenhead Point factory outlets.

Venture into Darling Harbour or Circular Quay by hopping on a ferry at Birchgrove Wharf at the end of the street or go all out and opt for a water taxi.

Please note: The property is accessed via stairs down to the property level.

Amazing location

Quirky property on the waterfront if you are looking for a great view and outdoor space this would tick your boxes.

Cons:Access is narrow steep steps and poorly lit at night.

House owners didn't realise space was booked so awkward on arrival.

Some noise from ferries dogs in the neighbourhood and householders but not enough to spoil the stay.

Parking is awkward but not impossible. Permit available if you can find a space. Separate WC and kitchenette spacious and very clean. Birchgrove ferry closed during our stay. Balmain about 15 minute walk away. Shops nearby for essentials. Not many restaurants in immediate vicinity.

Spacious rooms great views.
