Absolutely everything we needed

Annabelle house provided exactly what we needed. Its a real home. It has a wonderful feeling of "being at home"... but right at the beach! The house itself is very livable and has been very well designed to catch the breeze and sounds of the surf... thus is tranquility is quite special. Its not a pretentious or grand home, but has everything you could need, and in fact this is what makes it feel so homely and relaxing. The owners have been very thoughtful to what is provided in the house. We took our small dog, and it was perfect for him, straight out to the off leash dog beach for walks... fabulous fun! (Larger dogs needing a fenced area outside would not do well here). A very relaxing stay, the Annabelle house was just what we needed. Ideal for a family. 2 couples could share comfortably.

Relaxing stay

Beautiful position with the sound from the ocean constantly in the background. The house has a lovely family feeling to it. Great walking track close by that takes you into Dicky Beach. Couldn't fault the location and owners Viv and Jill are very friendly and helpful.

Amazing position

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Annabelle house. The position and the outlook would be one of the best on the coast. The house has charm but would benefit from a few fix ups and a thorough clean. Irrespective it is a wonderful holiday destination and we came back refreshed from our time here.

Close to perfect

The location of this house couldn't be better - step out the backdoor, onto the grass, and down the steps to a huge and beautiful beach - turn right for dog-friendly beach, and turn left for the patrolled beach.

The views from the living area and largest bedroom were just lovely.

The house is wonderfully equipped, especially the kitchen.

My only gripe is this (and, depending on the makeup of your party, mightn't be a problem for you). The house is listed as having five bedrooms. There's one double bedroom on the main floor (where the kitchen, living, etc are). Then walk up half a flight of stairs and directly facing you are two single beds - these beds have no privacy at all, and noise from the living area is a problem. To the right of those two beds is a wall with a large opening and two more single beds - but no door so, again, no privacy. Walk up another half flight of stairs and there's a massive bedroom with a door - it contained a large bed (double or queen), and three single beds.

We were a party of four adult couples, so the lack of bedroom privacy certainly was a concern. However, it would be a great house for, for example, two adult couples and children (although noise from the TV might be a factor).

Apart from that, I can't recommend this house highly enough.

The owner was a fast and concise correspondent, and very kind.

A beachouse with the lot

This is how staying at the beach should be. So relaxing and right on the beach (no roads to cross). The house had everything you could possibly want for a great hassle free stay. The view from the windows was breath taking. The location fantastic, walk down the stairs to the surf or down the road to the lake.

Idyllic Beach House

What a gem! The location of Annabelle House is breathtaking. Nestled among tropical gardens on one side and the surf beach on the other, positioning couldn't be better. And so quiet (apart from the joyous chatter of native birds and the soothing tumble of the surf!!) Steps lead directly onto the surf beach (patrolled on summer weekends and during school holidays) and the beautiful Currimundi Lake is only 200 metres away where you have access to walking/cycling paths, swimming, fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding....so many options. The open planned timber beach-house itself is very comfortable and perfect for family members of all ages. Built on levels, there is room for everyone (we were a family of 8 adults) and the views from the large top bedroom where you can watch the sun rise and the moon glisten on the water while lazing in bed are amazing! Viv and Jill are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and the house has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a truly relaxing family holiday. We highly recommend Annabelle House and really look forward to returning.
