About the property

The Settlers Cottage and Stables

In total there are 5 beds between the two cottages. There is one double and one queen bed for the adults and three single beds for children.

The Settlers Cottage and Stables is set on 30acres of picturesque Australian Bushland. This property was designed, built and created around the owners life as a Jillaroo and Station cook in outback Australia and Jockey and Harness Driver in NZ and her love of the Clydesdale breed. You will be surrounded by memorabilia from times past.

Awake to the sunrise as the light filters through the trees, listen and watch the Lorikeets, Galahs and King Parrots when they call in for their daily feed. Kangaroos and friendly Clydesdale horses wander the property.

The Settlers Cottage accommodates up to 2 adults and one child. It is fully self contained with a 190lt fridge /freezer and Nespresso Coffee Pod machine. There is salt, pepper, bran or olive cooking oil, sugar, tea, coffee, toaster, jug and electric fry pans for cooking. It has an antique double bed and a King single in the loft. There is also a garden shower outside the Settlers Cottage for showering under the stars.

The Stables accommodates up to 2 adults and 1 child and It is full self contained with Bar fridge and coffee/tea making facilities and microwave oven and a drovers kitchen on the front veranda. The Stables is divided into 2 rooms. It has two single beds in the adjoining room. The Queen room has an ensuite bathroom.

The price is per cottage per night. I only accept bookings for each cottage on the same night if the people are known to each other. If one single person books one cottage, no other bookings will be accepted for that same period and the rate will remain the same.

There is a BBQ hut for the ease of cooking. Stoke up the potbelly BBQ and relax and enjoy the peace from your busy life. The magic of this property will do wonders for you.

For extended stays you will find many things to see in the Bundaberg Region. This Property is in Queensland Australia.18 kms from the town of Gin Gin on the Bruce Highway and 40 minutes from the Bundaberg Airport.

This property and business is for sale for $440,000 negotiable.

15 min. to peace tranquility & unquie experience

  • 5 of 5

Don't let 15 minutes stand in your way of this fantastic stay. Location 5/5 because you will get the best stay because of the location. Lynne is an wonderful host who's vision to put together a great experience and feeling of living in the years gone by was amazing. Peaceful, serene environment with so much to take in. We totally enjoyed the BBQ shack, the outdoor fire and gazing at the stars and all the decor the cabins have to offer. Not to leave out the dogs, horses, beautiful birds and a few kangaroos hanging out. Outdoor shower and lovely indoor tub was enjoyable. 35 different stays during our NZ Australia trip and this one gets first prize. Thank you Lynne for sharing your great peace of heaven and may we say it is much appreciated that you thought of all the extras that made this stay so great and memorable.

Beautiful host, beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

Thankyou Lynne for such a wonderful break. The personal touches that you did that made us feel special, along with your helpers, Rosie, the happiest dog in the world, and Cocoa and Harry the two friendly Clydesdales. The local knowledge that you shared helped us explore the area. You have a wonderful cottage set up with the outside kitchen and 30 acres made us feel we were the only people in the world. We cant wait to come back.

Everything you could want in a bush holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Lynne is lovely and has put a lot of thought into what makes a great holiday. The cottage and grounds have everything you could want for -- a fire pit and BBQ, games and record player, fresh herbs, morning-sunned porch, comfortable beds, Nespresso machines ... (I could go on). But best of all were the paddocks and frogs and horses and all the species of birds that come in to feed. We loved every minute. Unplug and refresh!
