Should of believed reviews
Chose to disregard previous negative reviews regarding cleanliness etc due to location and allowing pets. We predominately camp so being without creature comforts and a bit of dirt doesnt normally bother us. Should of listened. Raised concerns with owner prior to placing review but has chosen to ignore concerned. Rubbish left from previous guest, bottom of oven coated in fat and old frozen chips. Fry pans covered in old grease(had to clean prior to use) bbq not cleaned, old greese proof paper from previous guest. Dead bird in inside fireplace. All these things could of been corrected with the cleaner we were told came prior to our stay. Rustic is fine, dated bathrooms are fine, even removal of our own rubbish and bringing own linen is fine but disregard for maintenance when people have handed over hard earned money isnt fine. All the outdoor furniture so dirty and covered in old wasp nests could sit on them. Positive- couch was comfy, dog bowl and dog poop bags provided. Freshly folded tea towels in kitchen and tissues provided. Use of private jetty a positive

Relaxation at Eagle Point
The cottage is situated between Mitchell River and King Lake and therefore, it was a perfect starting point for our boat trips as we were allowed to use the private jetty. When not on the boat, we enjoyed the views from both sides. The cottage is a great get away with dogs.

Location Isn’t Everything
Yes the location is great, but not impressed with everything else. We ended up leaving a day early. The photos shown on line are clearly very old, as it looks nothing like that now. Generally I would sum it up to very little effort from the owner. There were cobwebs in every room. Some with spiders. The oven had spiders INSIDE. There was no toaster and when I asked the owner he told me because it is run on solar (so is my caravan and We have a toaster). The lounge area is ok. The TV sound comes out of speakers in the ceil (great idea) however one of them had a terrible hum continuously. The shelves near the bathroom had moldy outdoor cushions and rubbish on them. As far as it goes for being COVID cleaned, I think not. It also stated that the bedding was washed. The quilts had staining on them and had NOT BEEN WASHED. We received an email 1 1/2 hours before arriving telling us we needed to bring sheets. We had already been on the road for 3 1/2 hours so had to buy some in Moe. The yard was overgrown. The private jetty already had a boat moored at it and we had trouble finding it as the path to it was overgrown. For over $200 a night we expected more. Cleanliness and amenities as shown in photos.

So disappointing
Although the location of this property is amazing unfortunately that's all the positives it has. The property is run down, grubby and in need of some TLC. The property is pet friendly but the gardens were so overgrown in parts I couldn't see my kelpie. Having seen a dead snake on the road there was no way I could let them out into the garden, so they either had to be on the lead on the road or in the house. The outside of the house was covered in cobwebs, the outside furniture was dirty and unusable unless cleaned down. Bird nests under the verandah causing birdmess on every surface including where you had to walk to leave the property. The BBQ was disgustingly dirty. The doors were all grubby and covered in handprints/ fingerprints and dirt, were also very difficult to open and close due to dirt in the runners. Everything you touched inside felt dirty. The glass shelves in the fridge had something spilt on them and were sticky, the freezer had someone else's food left behind and was dirty, the chairs had rips in the coverings. The bathroom had mould covering the ceiling and every corner inside the property had cobwebs. Overall very very disappointed as was hoping to have a relaxing break away to celebrate our wedding anniversary but couldn't relax inside. Would not recommend to others until issues addressed.
