Great location, lovely property - but a few niggle

The location of this property was great, close to trams and local Woolworths, as well as all the food and other delights of Lygon Street. The layout of the property was great, and the wifi and aircon both worked well.

A couple of niggles with the booking process - on checking the details about our property a few weeks before leaving, I realised I had been sent info on the wrong property. Espresso apartments fixed this quickly though. But then when we arrived, the code to unlock the key lock was wrong, which then involved some to-ing and fro-ing to get the right code to be able to get the keys. Luckily it wasn't raining or dark and cold, and again, the fix was pretty quick.

The ensuite shower flooded every time we used it, causing the need for multiple mop ups. The ensuite toilet button kept running after flushing, so that needed to be fixed by taking the lid of the cistern off each time we flushed it - neither of these was major but pointed to a lack of awareness - it would be unusual that both things would have just started to happen. (These were reported.)

And while I am whinging, there were only three wine glasses (for a property that houses 6 people), one of which had a crack; and the bed configuration was different to what we requested.

So, most people on reading this would say that these are minor things, and I would agree - and certainly none significantly affected what was a lovely time in Melbourne. But a bit more attention to detail would have made it perfect! We can dream I guess.

The apartment was spacious, clean, beautifully equipped and in a central location where you could walk or tram into the CBD. Lygon St was just around the corner and with the multitude of restaurants there, it was easy to pop out for food or to shop. The amenities meant it really was a home away from home.
