As this is not a hotel but a small, boutique residential apartment building there is the standard NO parties so as not to disturb our neighbours or the natural ambience of this small boutique building and will suit those looking to relax and unwind, however there are plenty of cool & hip venues nearby to let your hair down all within close proximity such as 5 Sawyers and the renovated Delaney Hotel along with many lovely old historic pubs to discover all within easy walking distance & I can recommend plenty of cool venues ( :

Darby Street is a unique shopping precinct within the Newcastle CBD. It is a true Village atmosphere with Owner Operated businesses bursting with product knowledge and motivation to please the consumer. You will need to stroll down Darby Street and explore some of its Side Streets and Alleys to get a feel of the ‘human’ aesthetic in this manageable Village. Darby Street is overflowing with Artisan product, giftware's, food, coffee and fashion. The street boasts 3 Australian Fashion Designers who have their flagship stores on the strip. The Restaurants provide a wonderful haven for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you will find the shopping experience intimate and comfortable

An 8min walk (800mtrs) via Parkway Avenue finds you gazing at the surf on beautiful Bar Beach where you can relax and unwind for a swim or surf and enjoy fresh juices, fish and chips or a hamburger at café Swell. There are tennis courts located next to the Bar Beach bowling club where you can also partake in bare foot bowls and there is a skate park for the kids so very family friendly

A 12min level walk (1 km) to the Hunter street end of Darby Street takes you to the Newcastle Art Gallery, War Memorial and Civic Park where a variety of concerts and markets occur. Newcastle Art Gallery contains NSW's most substantial public art collections outside Sydney, as well as the largest collection of modern Japanese ceramics in the Southern Hemisphere with World class exhibitions frequently on show

Opposite Civic Park and Newcastle Art Gallery you will find Civic Theatre, City Hall, the new law courts, conservatorium of Music and Newcastle University (City Campus) along with The New Space new faculty

A 12min level walk (1 km) West takes you to The Junction Village where you have a variety of trendy cafés, restaurants, boutique shops, banks, Coles supermarket and The Junction Hotel

A 19min level walk (1.6km) or a 5min Uber/cab or bus ride takes you into the CBD which provides a cinema on King Street and boutique shops, more award winning cafe's and restaurants and many vibrant hidden wine bars to discover

A 20min level walk (1.7km) straight down Darby Street crossing over Hunter Street or a 5min cab or bus ride takes you into the Honeysuckle harbour front entertainment precinct (Newcastle's version of Darling Harbour) with more restaurants, wine bars, The Honeysuckle Hotel and Tourist Information Centre where bikes can be hired here for a ride along the foreshore

Williamtown airport and air base is an easy 30min drive and Sydney is btw a 1 & 1/2 to 2.5hour drive away

We have a beautiful young family with 2 x amazing little girls and we are energetic & love many sports such as swimming, water skiing, surfing, snow skiing, bush walking, cricket & we love to travel & discover new destinations.

Angela is a very talented and accomplished singer/entertainer with a degree from the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney (AIM) along with a fashion degree & family day care diploma.

Kevin works as a very successful Senior Award Winning Property Buyers Agent with Propertybuyer and has been involved in over 1,500 property transactions during his 22 year career working with multiple strategies such as subdivision, development sites, duplex/dual living, renovate for profit, investment properties, high yield, high growth, commercial, locating ideal properties for owner occupiers and investors. That is unusual that you found the internet slow as we have the new high speed NBN internet which is the fastest internet for residential property in Australia and no doubt it must be slower than the States. I do hope I can accommodate you again on your return visit at either Newcastle Getaway or Newcastle Getaway II and enjoy your travels ( :
