Cosy and modern. Great base.

  • 4 of 5

Stayed for 3 nights. The bunkhouse is funky and has everything you need. Beds were really comfortable. We used it as a base and did day trips. The only suggestions we have would be (1) a small coffee table in the lounge area (2) An outdoor area to sit and (3) The bicycles need to be cleaned and oiled to be ready for use. We were really looking forward to a ride.

The Cottage and The Retreat, on the same property, both look amazing.

Beautiful gardens, compact & comfy accomodation!

  • 5 of 5

The bunkhouse was just sooo cute! It had everything we needed in a compact space. The beds and couch were very comfortable for lounging round in and the kitchen meant we didn't have to eat out. Very good value. We walked up to the local lookout on the advice of our host, Jonathan; it was a bit further than we expected but the view was well worth it. The gardens were very lush and lovely to walk through.

Best Bunkhouse Ever!! Just Beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

As suggested, we used the bunkhouse as a base to enjoy the surrounding area. It exceeded our expectations. Beautifully and thoughtfully designed and appointed, with quality appliances, fixtures and linen. Spotlessly clean, I mean, so clean we thought we were one of the first guests to ever stay there.

Travelling as a couple, it was more than ample, though as housing for 4 it would be just as good! Heaps of storage, comfy beds and furniture, free broadband and Netflix/Flatscreen all with printed instructions for simple folk.

The grounds are stunning for a walk around, and the host is friendly and helpful.

As previously reviewed, there is an espresso machine with complimentary pods, milk etc. We especially loved the bar fridge with a real freezer allowing us to freeze our Ice Packs for the next days esky.

This place is even better than the pictures suggest, and for the money, represents the best value bunkhouse for miles around.

Mediocre at best!

  • 2 of 5

The bunkhouse is quite small, although reasonably well equipped, except for the fridge whic is difficult to get into and has a strange configuration of shelves making it difficult to use effectively. I was just big enough for two but is designed to sleep 4 this would be very crowded! Also there is nowhere to sit outside the room which really detracts from the accommodation and the very pleasant gardens, This was compounded by the host not being able to work out the functioning of the TV and coffee machine,,,,,very tedious after a long days travel!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback Patricia, I can't help thinking that one of our other cottages would have been better matched to your requirements. In the description, we recommend the BunkHouse to, festival goers, surfers and groups who are going to spend the majority of their time out exploring the beautiful hinterland as it is best used as a base. I understand that Susie also provided instructions for the TV within 5 minutes and also provided a space for you both to sit. The Bunkhouse, as it's name indicates, is a studio space, which is reflected in the many pictures of the property, and is priced accordingly.
