About this property

Our Beachside Retreat is only five minutes walk through a beautiful Native Reserve to the Best Beach in the World. Nestled in a quiet part of Newport this amazing property lends itself to pure relaxation and tranquility. Enjoy our Peaceful Piece of Paradise!!Newport Luxury is independent accommodation within a large building. There are no shared areas in the building. Sleeps up to 5 people with an option of a Roll away bed for the sixth person if needed. Two Double Bedrooms and one single bedroom. Opening up to a non shared Outdoor BBQ Area and Outdoor Fire Place (Decorative Only). A swimming Pool that is 11m x 7m with a sun drenched Deck whole year around. This venue has been used for many commercial photo shoots and video clips. We are high on a hill with about 52 steps to your arrival, so it is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Street parking available only.

Newport has easy access to fantastic surf beaches, water sports, fishing areas, boating, bushwalking and Brilliant Restaurants, pubs and clubs.
Newport is less than an hour away from the City and an hour away from the Airport. Public transport is also available.

An extremely disappointing experience

The experience at Taran’s Newport house was overall a huge disappointment from the very moment we stepped foot on the property. Firstly, the property manager did not provide us with the information to gain access to the house keys, so we were locked out of the house for about 45 minutes until Taran (the host) provided the access code. Taran was verbally abusive on the phone when we arrived and asked for the access code and about the pool cleanliness (see below). Despite his apology after the fact, nothing was done to rectify the damage done to our holiday. The level of cleanliness of the entire house (including inside and outside) was appalling. The patio furniture, including wooden planks and ornaments, were all covered in dust and cobwebs. The pool (which is a key reason why we chose this property) was not clean or well maintained - it had algae and was not swimmable on the day of arrival due to the pump ‘being broken’. Inside the house was no better. The kitchen, dining table, glass doors, and cutlery were not clean. We had to clean the entire kitchen, crockery and leather couch before using it. The master bedroom sheets were clearly used and hadn’t been changed - they were smelly and dirty, with white stains on them (see pictures attached). At 11pm on our first night we were changing the bed linen. The side tables in the bedroom were dusty, and the main bedroom bed side lamps did not work. The bathroom contained someone else’s toiletries including a used razor and toothbrush. It was very evident that the house had not been cleaned before our arrival according to platform standards or health regulations, and was merely a rushed ‘superficially tidy’. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this place until it is thoroughly cleaned and even somewhat resembles it’s description online.

Natural Newport

The property was stunning positioned adjacent to a lovely strip of nature training the eye out to magnificent ocean views. We had a great stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking to experience a Northern Beaches getaway.
