About the property

6 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, 1 half bathroom, sleeps 19

This property is simply without compare in the Chattanooga area. Our guests are always awestruck when they arrive because, having only seen our web listing, the home is much more luxurious and the property much more picturesque than they ever realized. Come and see for yourself!

Located on a 100-acre farm with a commanding 1/2 mile on the banks of the Tennessee River, the Little River Guesthouse is only 10 minutes from downtown Chattanooga (though you'd never know it!)

Step outside your door for gorgeous mountain and river views at the mouth of the Tennessee River Gorge. Enjoy the deer, bald eagles, and other wildlife in this nature lover's paradise (the bird watching is incredible!). Fish the mighty Tennessee River which is literally in your backyard and enjoy the walking trails, volleyball net, horseshoes, swing, and picnic areas.

Inside, the spacious and fully furnished and accessorized kitchen and living area is wide open, especially with the cathedral ceiling. Guest rooms are luxuriously furnished as the feeling inside is much more than a simple guesthouse. Each room is complete with queen or king size bed, desk with chair, flat screen television, and even a private bathroom with whirlpool tub (two of which are handicapped accessible). Pull-out sofas and trundle beds are available in some rooms in addition to the queen or king-size beds.

In addition, the close proximity to Chattanooga's wonderful attractions ensures that you and your guests will have no shortage of fun. Area Attractions include: Located just a few short miles away you'll find plenty of additional activities on Lookout Mountain, such as Ruby Falls, Rock City, The Incline Railway, and Point Park. You'll also find the Chattanooga Arboretum & Nature Center just 5 miles away from the Little River Guesthouse. With downtown only 10 minutes away, you'll find additional activities and plenty of low-key and upscale restaurants. You'll also find touristy attractions such as the Tennessee Aquarium, The Creative Discovery Museum, and The Hunter Art Museum.

If you're looking for a getaway that isn't far away from all that the city has to offer, the Little River Guesthouse is a perfect fit! The distinctive site, scenery, and seclusion help to ensure that you and your guests will make memories that will be cherished for years to come!

Fantastic for large family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The large lawn area was good for ballgames. The large living and dining area made dining, visiting, and game time easy. Six bedrooms with six and one half baths provided space for privacy, naps for little ones and ease for everyone to get ready for activities.

Great place for a large group.

  • 4 of 5

We were in town for a wedding a needed a place for 14 people, including two infants. The place was great. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The views are great of the TN river! Downtown is only 15 minutes away. Lookout Mountian and Ruby Falls are very close.

Slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, large home on incredible, rolling grounds. Great spot of a vacation or reunion.

Be aware that there is an event space on the property. There was a wedding the weekend we stayed there, but they didn't bother us/ prevent us from doing anything we were doing.

If you are getting married there, you would be crazy not to rent this house. Sleeps 17, is a short walk from the venue, etc.

We loved our stay. It was very convenient to be near the RiverPlace venue for our son’s wedding and to easily get in and out of town.

Beautiful property with gorgeous view

  • 5 of 5

We rented the Little River Cottage which is adjacent to the Tennessee Riverplace venue. Our daughter was getting married there and it was so nice and convenient to have a place to stay right next door. Also, less stressful with the addition of a full kitchen, plenty of room for eating and gathering, and a bathroom with each bedroom. It made those trips next door to retrive anything we forgot a lot easier. The property overall (including this cottage) is very well maintained and clean and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone who is having an event, wedding or family reunion at the venue but also to the family who would like to have a quiet vacation and spend some time in the Chattanooga area.
