About the property

House: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms -- Sleeps 8 adults (Plus 2 infants)

YOUR FAMILY HOME IN LONDON: Free Wi-Fi - XBox(Wi-fi)

Situated on the edge of Zone 1, close to two Tube stations and with frequent buses to Waterloo, Westminster and beyond, it is the perfect base for a vacation exploring London.

Both Tube stations are a 10-minute walk away, or take the bus and be at Tate Britain, Big Ben, or Westminster Abbey in 10-15 minutes!

The house is situated in a safe, quiet, residential street and with space to spread out and relax (a scarce commodity in most London holiday apartments) it is perfect for families, couples, or larger groups. On quiet nights you can even hear Big Ben strike and the River Thames is just a short walk away.

The new American Embassy is nearby, very close to the impressive MI6 building.

Please note that this is a traditional British semi-detatched house, not an apartment. You occupy the whole house, so no noisy neighbours above, or below!

There is a very large Supermarket (which is open until 11.00pm every night) just 5-minutes away, plus cafés, delis and restaurants, all within easy reach. There are also two gyms nearby to work off the calories.

The property has recently been totally refurbished and is supplied with everything you'll need to make your stay stress free and comfortable and cut down on your luggage.

There is a small, but fully-loaded kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Upstairs, are two large bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed and remote-controlled ceiling fans, a smaller bedroom with full sized bunk-bed and a family bathroom with bath tub and power shower.

Downstairs there is a shower room, a lounge with double sofa bed, ceiling fan and flat screen TV and a dining room (seats 8) leading out to a patio garden.

Baby cots and inflatable beds can also be supplied on request. The house is centrally-heated and double-glazed.

Linens, towels, bathrobes and 2 hairdriers are supplied.

The house sleeps 8 adults (in beds/sofabed, plus we can provide 2 extra cots for infants)

For relaxing at night, a selection of DVDs and Xbox 360 games are available (please ask, as we like to offer age appropriate films and Xbox games), as well as books and games.

Free Wi-Fi is available. Also supplied are two pay-as-you-go phones for you to use during your stay.

Some basic food stuffs to get you started are included, such as tea, coffee (instant, decaff and filter), milk, bread, eggs, butter, cooking oil, olive oil and condiments.

If you would like us to have your own shopping ready for you when you arrive we can arrange that for a small fee of £10, or you can order it online and have it delivered and we will put perishables in the fridge.

If you have any special requirements, please let us know and we will do our best.

Check in is 4 p.m. Check out is 10 a.m.

If you are arriving early, we can look after your luggage until check in time, so you can fit in some sightseeing.

We try to be as flexible as possible with arrival and departure times.

There is a total no smoking policy in the house, but guests may smoke in the garden.

Daily Parking Permits can be arranged, the current cost is £5 per day.

We are nearby, so always on call for any queries.

We look forward to making your stay in London a wonderful experience and hope to welcome you back again and again.

London Charm

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Bev and Jeff made sure we were informed on everything. They had travel guide books and pamphlets for all the sites to visit. Extra ponchos and umbrellas. Even though we didn't need them at all. They had a bit of food to get us started in the refrigerator which was extremely nice. Also there were converters every where which helped a lot. The property was in a safe area and we had an easy time getting around. I would say in the heat of the summer it might get a little hot in the upstairs. We are used to AC. Jeff and Bev had fans in every room which made things nice. They were available for any questions we had about the place. We loved London and our stay here made a big difference in our vacation. We would definitely stay here again. If we ever make it back. Thanks for a wonderful stay Jeff and Bev! We hope to see you again.

Amazing Flat for a Family

  • 5 of 5

Jeff and Bev are terrific hosts for this flat. We got into London early Saturday and they met us with friendly smiles and a wealth of information not only about the flat but about London as well.

Not only were they informative, but really thoughtful by the small items they had ready for us when we arrived, some food, use of two cell phones, and Oyster Cards. Wow, we have been doing VRBO for years and have not seen this level of service. A very welcoming surprise for us.

This flat was perfect for a family of 7, we had plenty of room and many amenities to entertain all of us (games, books, and much more). The flat is also in a great location to a large Sainsbury Grocery store (5 min walk), bus stop, Vauxhall underground station, and a few fun pubs (my wife and I really enjoyed Priory Arms).

This trip has been nothing but stellar and a large part is due to this flat and Jeff and Bev. Thank You for everything. When we return to London, we are planning on staying here again.

Thank You -- Pat

It is a lovely place that served our purpose well

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Bev and Jeff were gracious hosts. We were welcomed at a midnight arrival. Jeff even offered us a pizza and had the fridge stocked with some essentials to get us started on our visit.

The location is very good. It was easy to get to all of the major sites in London. The property is overall well represented in the photos. I would note that the bunks are in a very tight room and are a bit small.

We had a bit of an electrical issue and they responded immediately and did their best to correct a matter than was beyond their control. The swift response was greatly appreciated.

Hopefully we will have a chance to return and visit again.

Extraordinary home, extraordinary owners.

  • 5 of 5

If you rent this home, you have hit the vacation home lottery! It’s absolutely lovely. Sparkling clean and every detail has been attended to. The decorations are fabulous. Lovely little garden out back where we had a few meals. And the location — wow. We were pretty close to everything. Buses are around the corner to the tube. If you decide to do some cooking, the kitchen has everything you need. Furthermore we took a short walk and purchased lovely, fresh meat and produce when we felt like a home cooked meal. And the owners! If there were more people like this in the world, it would be a better place. Great, helpful people. They clearly love the wonderful home and service they provide. And we loved them and that amazing house.

A superb location with all the amenities

  • 5 of 5

Jeff & Bev made it incredibly easy to tour London on a budget. They are lovely and went out of their way to make our family of 6 feel welcome. They even added 120V outlets for all of us Americans who forgot their converters!

Thank you!

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed this adorable home. We had 5 adults that fit comfortably here. The kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms clean and comfortable beds. The owners met us at the home and provided us with a wealth of great visitor information. They provided us with public transit cards we could add money to, told us where to catch the buses and which lines to take. The home is within a few minutes walking distance to bus stops, grocery stores and delicious restaurants. We can't wait to return!
