Tasmania’s Huon Valley is one of the most loved food and nature destinations in Australia with travellers flocking to the region from interstate and overseas.
Only a kilometre away from all the conveniences of Huonville, the ‘capital’ of this famed apple, cherry and berry growing region, a mere 5, 10 or 15 minutes away from the villages of Ranelagh, Franklin and Cygnet, and a vast array of local wineries, quality food producers, providores, local bakeries, cafes, restaurants and farmers markets.
Hobart, Australias smallest capital city (with some disproportionately big attractions), is a 35 minute drive away (the airport is approximately 50 to 60 minutes)
GETTING AROUND.Hobart and the surrounding regions are best explored by car. Huonville is a short walk away (1km) where buses are available to Hobart and beyond. Bicycle hire is available locally in Huonville.
