About this property

Perfect spot for a peaceful stay with stunning mountain and woodland views. Situated in the National Parc de Chartreuse in the Auvergne-rhône-alpes.
Our large Savoyarde style chalet offers welcoming, comfortable accommodation.
The spacious double bedroom is freshly decorated with modern touches and a large en-suite shower room.
Our home is popular with skiers, cyclists, hikers and nature lovers.
We are close to two French villages with supermarkets, boulangeries, charcuteries and chocolatier! The ski resort closest to our home is a 15 minute drive away ( St Pierre de Chartreuse) and during the summer months you can enjoy watersports and swimming in Lac D’Aiguebelette which is a 20 minute drive from the chalet.

Day trips to Chambery, Aix Les Bains, Annecy and Turin are all available and within easy reach from our location.

C'était parfait.

Les hôtes sont très accueillants, extrêmement sympathiques et pleins de bons conseils, sans jamais être envahissants. La maison est très propre, tout est prévu, le cadre, le jardin sont supers également. Et même en pleine canicule il faisait frais. Ce fut un excellent séjour ! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Excellent moment

Les hôtes Penny & Mitch sont très charmants et accueillants avec de petites attentions pour vous. La chambre double est très bien décorée et aménagée. Nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse avec vue sur les montagnes. Cela nous a fait plaisir d'échanger avec eux en anglais et le sejour restera pour nous un excellent souvenir, nous repasserons les voir à la prochaine escapade dans le coin.

Hele aardige, gastvrije mensen die perfect Engels spreken op een toplocatie

Een heel aardig stel dat je alles kan vertellen over de omgeving en de achtergrond hiervan. We werden heel warm ontvangen in perfect Engels, en de gastvrouw had zelfs een welkomsboekje opgesteld met alles wat we moesten weten over de omgeving. Activiteiten, restaurants en noem het maar op. Erg schone en leuke kamer waar niets je ontbreekt. Zelfs een koelbox te leen om wat eten op te bergen. De tuin is ook erg mooi en groot, lekker zwembad en zithoekje met een prachtig uitzicht. Ontbijt werd bij onze kamerdeur weggezet, wat we met uitzicht op de bergen konden opeten aan de tuintafel. Heel lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt. Kortom een geweldige tijd gehad! Zeker aan te raden, komen graag terug.

Penny and Mitch are an English couple who moved to France in 2018 to live in a typical mountain chalet in the Rhone-Alpes. Both of us enjoy the relaxed way of life but also love being able to ski and hike in the winter months or head out on our bikes for a picnic by the river or lakes in summer.
Our new neighbours have made us feel very welcome and part of their community. As we are both keen cooks we regularly entertain guests and friends, and participate in local events.

Why they chose this property

This holiday venue is the perfect spot for hikers and mountain bikers as we are located in the heart of the pre-alps in the national park of Chartreuse.

Stunning views of the mountain range from your bedroom and the terrace. Enjoy all the seasonal changes of the colours of the foliage on the trees framed by the impressive mountain ridges.
