Hemingway's Lakehouse is a tranquil retreat on beautiful Lake Wollumboola.(2.5 hours from Sydney) This gorgeous lakeside cottage has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Swim, paddle board or kayak on the lake.Culburra Beach is less than five minute drive away. Lots of lovely bush walks in the area too. Or just curl up on the comfy couch with a good book and watch the swans and pelicans on the lake.

Relaxed, comfortable and stylish, the location right opposite the lake offers beautiful views. The SheepWash Creek bush walk takes you to the edge of the lake where it meets Culburra Beach - it's a great place to swim and you can have fun floating along on the gentle current. The mature Angophora trees are home to abundant birdlife. The lake is famous for its colony of black swans although the pelicans may beg to differ.

Enjoy cooking up a feast in the kitchen with quality European appliances including Smeg electric stove with gas cook top. There's also a barbie on the back porch.

The cottage has two bedrooms - Bed one - spacious and comfortable with a super comfy queen bed and a lake view. Bed two- the cloud room - is cosy with a queen bed that's so comfortable it's like sleeping on a cloud. The second living room has a smart tv with Netflix,.

Tranquility by the lake.

The pictures of the property are very accurate. It is has been decorated thoughtfully and delightfully with so many treasures and the result is a lovely sense of calm and a feeling of belonging. The living areas are very spacious and the property has every amenity you need. Wonderful views of the lake, particularly at sunset and sunrise and there are easy walks to the beach. There are shops close by if you need provisions and a few lovely restaurants in short driving distance such as the Little Snapper and the Butter Factory. Would thoroughly recommend .

Winter getaway

We loved our stay at Hemingway’s lake house. It was clean and beautifully presented and so cosy. We loved the fireplace and the view and there was so much to explore in the area. We took our dog and he had the best time. It’s a very dog friendly area.

Delightful Lakeside Cottage

Hemingway's Lakehouse at Culburra Beach is the most delightful and relaxing place to holiday. The home has everything you could possibly ask for, it's gorgeously decorated and all rooms have a fabulous relaxing "vibe". The teenagers had their own space and could chill in the bunkroom, whilst we had our own space in the living area. The location opposite the lake is fantastic - especially for bird watchers. We can't thank Chris enough for all the information provided to make our little vacation truly relaxing and memorable.

Lovely break from city hustle and bustle

The home is great for bringing your pups along, safe, closed yard. The house offered everything we needed, had a relaxing few days. The only negative is that the lake does not allow dogs so we had to jump in the car to find beaches to walk the pups.
