Peaceful, comfortable and relaxing.
Thank you Jane for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage. We fell in love with it and the land within minutes of arriving. The cottage is very homely, cosy and inviting. It's perfect for a couple looking for some time out. Beautifully decorated with everything we could need and the bed is incredibly comfortable. Our dog Jack had a lovely time, free to roam around the property and laze in the sun on the deck.
We will definitely return and look forward to lighting the wood burner in the winter.
The only sad part is having to leave to go home!
Thankyou Beverley your positive feedback. I am looking forward to having you visit in the winter. The Scenic Rim is absolutely stunning on so many levels. It is a treasure. With all that is happening with virus I Thankyou for continuing to support small business
Lovely relaxing stay
The cottage looks lovely and made for a great weekend stay. It is set up with everything you could need, was beautifully styled and very clean. The bed was super comfortable. Boonah was a nice country town to visit and we had a great weekend, thank you!
A short stay at Bunjurgen
Beautiful surroundings with a nice & clean cottage. Very spacious for two people. Puppers had a great time exploring & found the cottage very comfortable too.
Well Equiped Cottage - Great place to relax and escape city life
Absolutely amazing experience in the Scenic Rim staying in this beautiful secluded cottage. Inside the cottage is extremely roomy and accommodated the two of us and our little Yorkie perfectly!
The kitchen was great, featuring a convection oven, electric frying pan, weber bbq outside and ample plates and cutlery.
The nearby pool was another highlight of the property to enjoy afternoon views of the neighbouring properties and mountain ranges.
The host, Jane, was also very nice and accommodating to my myriad of questions throughout the stay.
We experienced a little bit of rain on the tin roof on 2/4 nights which was a nice experience.
There’s also heaps to do in the area, with breathtaking views from Queen Mary Falls, Maroon Dam and a lovely nearby town (Boonah).
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We will definitely be back to explore more of this area!
It was a pleasure to have you stay and really great to hear how much you enjoyed the Scenic Rim. Thankyou for following your intuition
Great little get away!
Really enjoyed our stay, great we good have our wee dog with us as well. The property was really well equipped, peaceful and private! Loved the pool, thanks Jane would to stay again some time!!!
So flag that you found the little cottage to your liking. Would love to have you back again
Quirky but not good, needs some serious TLC
Hi All, Well our Christmas was not so great. Accomodation is part of the overall Hospitality industry and unfortunately this was decidedly lacking.
You could definitely tell somebody had tried but just did not have the experience and understanding of how to finish the project off, then maintain and ensure their guests got what they expected.
So it starts with me having to contact the property to ask for directions as google maps was not finding the destination. ( A fact the property and owner had been told previously by another guest ) Why did I have to contact the owner ? if this is a known issue why would the owner not send an email out prior to departure giving us all the information we would need to find the property.
Ok, so off we tootled and arrived safe and sound to find that there was no sign saying Rustic cottage! Not even when you pulled up to the gate.
We then found out that the Cottage did not have door locks and no way to lock it when you where inside. This made us city folk very uncomfortable and meant when we left the cottage for any reason we had to take our valuable with us. ( And anybody who tells you that there is no crime on rural properties is a liar )
I looked around for the traditional property guide telling you about the do’s and don’ts, idiosyncrasies, ( like taps that spit out boiling water if you’re not careful ) contact details in case of emergency, nothing. Wow. Not even a welcome letter.
I did however find an old scraggly envelope onto of three bottle of wine which said “wine $20 each”
Ow well, it is what it is, so we decided we would try to make the best of it, wow that was really pushing it!!
It was so hot in the room on arrival the first thing I did after looking for the property guide was to try and work out how to use a century old air-conditioner which looks like it was found on a rubbish dump. Turned it on and then had to go and find some earplugs, wow !! incredible. It was so loud !!
Phew, things where going down hill fast.
So on to unpacking, I was given the chore of doing all the wonderful Christmas food we had brought with us and packing it in to the fridge. Great size fridge.
That is when I let out a yell, I turned to my wife and said, I thought you said you checked the listing and it said it had an OVEN, she said yes, I did !! I then informed her that it had been stolen!!!
Ran out of space check out other review site as there is so much more to tell.
Well Rick it is a shame you managed to list every perceived negative you could muster up ... visiting the country is about the beautiful fresh air , the quiet still nights , the beautiful rain on the tin roof ( which you had ) yes and the fact that we don t have the crime that you are obviously paranoid about in Buderim !! A visit to the scenic rim is not about pulling someone’s life apart on social media it is about the beauty and the difference in lifestyles otherwise you may as well stay at home if you do not wish to engross yourself in a different experience . And what about that bed ... as all my other guests comment it s the best bed they have ever slept in!! The country walks. The pool and yes there is a convection oven there which you used and left filthy !!!!! I guess you have just no idea how tough the rural population of the Scenic Rim and surrounds have had it for the last couple of years ... but Thankyou for at least trying to support a business in the drought. My Rustic Cottage is just beautiful
