About this property

Surfin Sceales Beach House

The safe beaches in and around Sceale Bay are great for swimming for all ages. The rocks and small reef near Sceale Bay is perfect for snorkelling. Paddle around the Bay on a kayak and you just might have a dolphin come and say hi!
Launch your boat from the ramp just 200m from the beach house and fish the deep waters outside the bay for snapper, tuna , kingfish and nannygai. In the bay catch true back slapping whiting as well as garfish, flathead and squid.
Dive for abalone around the sheltered reefs and try your luck dabbing for gar in the moonlight. Fish from the beach, or throw out a jig for a squid or two. Sceale Bay area boasts some of South Australia's most spectacularly rugged coastal scenery with most spots easily reached in the family car.
During the winter, whales sometimes visit the bay and there are plenty of dolphins cruising around. Osprey and sea eagles nests along the coastline can be viewed from certain spots. The sealion colony at Port Labatt is not to be missed and has a purpose-built viewing platform.
Surfin Sceale Bay beach house is a fully self-contained air-conditioned holiday house. It has sleeping for 8 people. Situated on the beach front with views over the bay to Smooth Pool.
The lounge has a comfortable lounge suite, tv, dvd and stereo. Dvd's, books and some games are in the cupboard for your enjoyment.
The kitchen has all the mod cons to enable you to cook your freshly caught fish or there is a gas BBQ and outdoor setting on the deck.
Outback is a fish cleaning area and there is under cover parking for your car.
Pets are welcome but strictly outside only, the yard is closed in with a kennel outback. All water is clean rainwater so we do ask that guests be water conscious.

Nice Getaway
The accommodation itself was clean in general although hating spiders, I didnt appreciate walking through cobwebs at head & feet level. Also, the pic of the seaview led me to believe that was the view directly from the house but it wasnt. The beach is obsured but a hill & plant growth on the other side of the road so the view wasnt as good as expected. All in all though, a good trip.

Sceales Stay
We arrived in due date & got immediate entrance via a hidden key into the back door. The premises were clean & tidy. Being older meant that we couldn’t work out how to operate the TV. We also had to ‘pinch’ a gas bottle from the BBQ on the final night for the heater as all other bottles were empty. A lovely stay thank you. Des Stanley
