Guestbook comments from the owner

The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the wood stove and ping pong table. Nature walks were beautiful! We loved how close this cabin was to Crystal Mountain. We skied for two days and it was awesome. Definitively hope to come back.

Our stay was great the house is very cool and everything was very clean when we showed up. Many hours of ping pong were played and we had a very fun trip down the river. I will be back in the future.

remote peaceful location

  • 4 of 5

This house was a very peaceful place to rest our heads and bodies after full days of hiking/sightseeing along Michigan Lake coastlines and Sleeping bear dunes. We especially enjoyed sitting outside on the deck, but wished there was a little better view of the gorgeous Betsie River. I wish the tall grass would have been cut/mowed down along the pathway to the river, as well as a small area at the riverbank so I could put a chair there and drink my coffee. The sound of the river is so relaxing. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed. The basement rec room had a very musty smell, but we didn't use it. The TV in the second bedroom was not hooked up to a cable box so was not usable. Overall, a very pleasant experience and vacation, the owner was very efficient and easy to deal with.

Owner's Response: Paul, thank you very much for your kind words. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Betsie River is an DNR regulated river with restrictions on cutting vegetation along the river banks to protect wild life and preserve natural environment. We cherish this natural beauty and clear only the area for boardwalk. Yes, in summertime we sacrifice the view of the river somewhat, but are handsomely rewarded with frequent visits by deer, turkey, and partridge. The new dehumidifier in the basement should take care the moisture issue. We are looking forward to having you as a guest again.

Perfect Get-Away

  • 5 of 5

Upon opening the door we were pleasantly surprised by the aroma of a cottagey-like charm. Knotty pine walls and wood floors added to the ambiance. It was comfortable, well laid out, and we all enjoyed ourselves. The view from the living room to the river was an added bonus. This place has it all. Plus close to amenities. Would choose this place again.
