Dog-friendly NE Portland - Private Home, 750 sq. ft.- off street parking

Clean, comfortable and quiet - Spacious, private one bedroom, with lots of natural light. The condition of the interior is in excellent condition, new bedroom carpet.Two blocks from the bus stop and the vibrant Williams corridor. Ten minute walk to the Mississippi District. Walk to markets, shops, salons, bistros, bars, restaurants, food trucks, gym, bike rental, and bus to Max station. Despite the prime location, the neighborhood is fairly quiet. Detached building was once a stable below with a hayloft above. The home is on the upper level with no one below, just our storage space and a shared laundry area (we live next door). About 80 miles from the coast and close to downtown. About 15 minutes from the airport and less than 10 to the train station. Owner is familiar with invoicing for federal employees and travel nurses. For stays longer than 31 days, I can offer monthly payment schedules after the initial (booking) payment is made. In addition to the queen size bed, there is an airbed available for guests. Smaller dogs okay, no cats, please. I also board dogs and provide doggy daycare through Rover.

Above and beyond

My boyfriend, 2 dogs and I stayed here for 6 months. Everything about this property is amazing, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while we took a work assignment here in Oregon. The place was perfect for us - exceeded our expectations. The fenced in yard (and dog sitting service) was very convenient. We ended up building an incredible relationship with the owners and now consider them family. Truly, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Overall, my stay was nice. Jeanne is very nice and hospitable. She greeted us on the first day and even offered info for local eateries and grocery shops. I stayed for a month because I was on a travel assignment for work. I work night shift and wouldn't recommend this location for a night shifter, as there is a day care next door BUT this doesn't have anything to do with Jeanne, it's just what it is. The area is very quiet at night though!! Also, I didn't give 5 stars because of the entrance to the unit, there are about 19 steps and the W&D are accessed outside which made it difficult for an extended stay. All in all though, Jeanne is a great host and even checked on me when I got off late. The location is also great!

Hay loft apartment

The property managers were so very nice and considerate, the apartment had everything that we needed, the property owner Jeanne make sure that the place is clean comfortable and quiet. They were so accommodating with our dogs and us. Neighborhood was very nice and close within walking distance of food and shopping. I would recommend anyone stay here

The apartment was wonderful - clean, well appointed, nothing lacking. Jeanne was a delightful host, and there was easy access to restaurants, and other amenities in NE and close in NW Portland. Highly recommended!

We build custom acoustic guitars, which we sell world-wide, and this guest home used be our shop. Formerly a stables (downstairs) and a hayloft (upstairs), we converted the upper space into a home, which we first rented out unfurnished on a long term basis. Several years ago we converted it to a VRBO, I value a clean space and this place is meticulous.

Why they chose this property

When you are here it feels great - lots of natural light, comfortable furniture, and fun decor makes it seem like home. I had a great time collecting the decor from the myriad of thrift stores across the Metro area.

What makes this property unique

This location is prime, just two blocks from the Williams corridor and ten blocks from the Mississippi district. You can walk to New Seasons Market, restaurants, bars, yoga studios, off-leash dog park, health clinics, bike rentals, spas and specialty shops. There is off-street parking, and access to the home is secure, fenced and equipped with motion sensor lights. Smoke detector, fire extinguisher and escape ladder in home. Taking the bus to the Max station to get to downtown or the airport is just minutes away, as is a walk to the nearest park with tennis courts.
