We’ll be back again

This was actually our second time staying here. It’s such an amazing place to stay and the hosts are so kind and helpful. There are so many animals you have access to for the kiddos and adults who also like holding baby goats in the spring. The property and house are beautiful and well maintained. I highly recommend this place, especially for families.

Best Birthday Present!

We stayed here for a trail ride in Shiner and it was my daughters 9th bday that weekend also. We are a animal loving family, and she especially loves chickens so when I found this place, it was absolutely perfect... They had 3 friendly dogs to greet us and hang out with us on the front porch, chickens, turkeys, a pig, goats, and bunnies, to make for such a wonderful experience! Thank yall for the best birthday present we could give our daughter and for taking the time to make her a bday cake and decorations!

Great Stay

Stayed here before my wedding. Plenty of space and room for 5 girls. The outdoor shower was such a fun experience. It was perfect for a short stay and would be perfect for a long stay.

I was only able to stay one of my two nights but the experience was awesome! Marty and James are SO friendly and hospitable. All the reviews and pics are accurate but can’t do justice to the real thing. The Chick-Inn Coop was unbelievable. So perfectly decorated and all the amenities you could want. Pictures don’t do justice. The bed, as previously reviewed, was SO comfortable - I slept long and hard. The farm menagerie was exactly what I needed. I loved hearing all the farm sounds. Watching the goat milking while holding baby goat Buck Owen was like heaven. I can’t wait to come back and stay longer.

Once upon a time...in 2013 we bought our retirement home in Shiner, Tx. The Byrd's Nest was built for our Twin Daughters but due to their busy schedule's they were limited to only occasional visits. We decided to offer our property for rental & now enjoy hosting guest from far & wide. The Byrd's Nest was so successful we decided to create a new space in our old existing pole barn. The Chick-Inn Coop offers it's own unique atmosphere filled with chickens/roosters. The decor is a mix of Vintage & modern touches. The barn yard is easily viewed by the guest. We will be adding more new features soon...so check back often!

The barnyard animals love to have visits from our guest! Nigerian Goats...Dolly, Tay-Tay, Baby Ga Ga, and A-dell (The farmer & A dell) Billy Bob Thornton the stud, Willie the playful goat, the turkeys, the rabbits, the ducks, the peacocks, the guineas, and of course last but not least THE CHICKENS...They rule the Roost!
