Vista Celeste is just 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta on the beautiful, secluded Nayarit coast. This beautiful close to ocean property consists of a three story house with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, heated pool and outdoor BBQ area.
This extraordinary property is situated 1/2 block from the unspoiled white sand beaches of San Francisco (San Pancho), Nayarit. Lush vegetation and palm trees surround the beautifully-landscaped grounds. Here you can enjoy spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, breathtaking sunsets, migrating whales, playful dolphins, and sea turtles. There are a host of adventurous activities, including epic surf, pristine golf, and horseback riding at your disposal. This is the perfect destination for those who seek privacy, serenity, and/or adventure.

The property is located right across from Costa Azul resort and next to Villas Paradise. The property is within walking distance of town, but is far enough away to steer clear of the daily crowds and noise. When in the small town of San Pancho, you can find many shops, grocers, and many restaurants to suit the taste of any family member. Do not miss the opportunity to mingle with the locals. They are very friendly and eager to practice their English with you. San Pancho itself is a picturesque Mexican fishing town with virtually no crime. It looks much as Puerto Vallarta did before it was discovered. Vista Celeste is professionally managed for guest's convenience.

Nils Kristoffersen purchased this house in 2011
White beaches, warm waters and cobblestone streets all factored into the desire to be a part of San Pancho. Add in temperate weather, fantastic local cuisine and a friendly atmosphere, and the Kristoffersens couldn't be happier to own Vista Celeste.
This was our 2nd time staying at Vista Celeste. The owners have made some significant improvements to the property since the last time we stayed. This includes an outdoor kitchen and second guest suite. Our family loved walking down the beach to the town of San Pancho. The pool is a great hang out area. This is just what our family needed to get some much needed R&R. We truly love Vista Celeste and cant wait until the next time we can go down! The last two times we have stayed at all inclusives before coming up. The next time I think we will skip that so we can go straight to Vista Celeste!
This villa is fantastic. It's very well maintained, the local crew is very responsive to take care of any small issues that crop up, and it's very closet to the beach. The pool area is great to hang around in, with a wonderful barbecue area just adjacent to it. Having two couples and a single traveler sharing this, we were initially concerned that everyone wouldn't have their own bathroom, but were pleasantly surprised that every bedroom has its own facilities, or one right outside the door. Their is ample space on the three levels, with a great third level place to sit if one wants privacy. The secured parking is also a great feature. I can't write about the TV service, because we never turned it on, as being close to downtown San Pancho and right near the beach is ample entertainment! The owner and his crew really do a great job on this, everyone in our group was very please, and we may very well inquire about staying again on our next visit to our favorite little village in Mexico! GREAT experience.
This house is ok. The view is nice, and the rooms are a comfortable size. However, we had several problems with it.
1. When we arrived, there were dirty cups and napkins on the table near the pool
2. The kitchen was not well equipped, and was missing a corkscrew for wine. When we called the property manager to ask if one was available, she asked us to buy one ourselves and we would be reimbursed. This is not my ideal way to spend a vacation...
3. There was a lot of dust and cobwebs under beds and in corners
4. The air conditioner in the master bedroom leaked, and by morning, the suitcase that had been placed under it was soaked, as well as everything in it
5. The bathroom downstairs flooded when two people took short showers in a row, and the entire hallway and bedroom were flooded. When we called the handyman, he said he would come by and clean up and fix it while we were away at our friend's wedding, but either he came and did nothing or he didn't come...
6. On arrival, the water cooler was dirty and there were insects floating around in the water. We asked for a replacement, and the next day we got one but the person who brought it left it outside downstairs, instead of carrying it up and placing it in its proper location.
I would not recommend this property unless something was done to bring it up to standards and the service vastly improved. Especially as there are boutique hotels in town for half the price...
This villa has been recently remodeled or is very new. We slept in several of the bedrooms and the beds were new and firm but comfortable. We used the laundry room often. The location and views were just exceptional. We watched humpback whales from the deck. I did some shore fishing from the beach and bluffs. We could hear the surf which was a real treat for us Kansans. The fresh fish, shrimp, vegetables and fruit were exceptional. We used the juicer often, and cooked in the outdoor kitchen. In the 20 days we stayed, we tried nearly every restaurant in town. They are all unique and featured a wide variety of menus. There is a beautiful 9 hole golf course a block away. We saw a number of iguanas and many rare birds. There is a world class birding sanctuary along the lagoon on the south end of the village. Bring binoculars. The heated pool was where we spent much of our free time. Day trips included Sayulita & Punta Mita to the south & Rincon de Guayabitos & Los Ayala to the north. With the exchange rate at 23 peso's per $ everything was very reasonable. Although we had a rental car, we walked a lot with everything so close. Don't oversize your rental car as the streets are narrow and a small car just works better and can be parked behind the gate if you choose. The town beach plaza was a 10 min walk down the beach. In case of an illness there is a clinic/hospital that is adequate and modern. We never felt in danger or even in the minority although we certainly were. The people of San Pancho were just very accomodating and helpful.
We loved the little town of San Pancho. Lots of great small restaurants and bars and very friendly and helpful people! Awesome fresh fish and shrimp at Calle 29 Cuba.
The owners were very helpful answering our many questions.
Abel, the handyman and jack of all trades, was amazing. Such a wonderful man!
Three comfortable bedrooms and seating for 4 at the dining room table. We ate out by the pool and BBQ most nights. Pool was cool and refreshing. Abel offered to heat it, but we wanted the cool plunge! Elders may have difficulty with the number of stairs as 2 bedrooms and 2 baths are on ground level, kitchen living room and one bedroom is up 2 flights, 1/2 bath is up another flight and roof deck it up the last flight. We loved the roof deck and spent nights playing cards up there. The only drawback is that the pool lacks privacy. It is directly on a street that once may have been a quiet path, but is now a very busy avenue. The construction right up the street did not help with its many cement tracks going and coming all day. About a 20 minute walk into town....be sure to have a flashlight since there are no streetlights! Washer and dryer were a big plus. They were large and very new.
AC worked in all rooms except the TV/front den. Internet worked great almost the whole time we're there. The entire area was out one day. Remember it's Mexico! Don't expect immediate hot water, the ability to flush toilet paper down the toilet, or fast service. Relax and enjoy the laid back life style.
We can't say enough great things about this home and location! The home is situated perfectly from town--it is a 3/4 mile walk via the road into San Pancho, or even less if you prefer to take the beach! We spent 6 days in the home and it had all the comforts we would hope and expect! The kitchen is well stocked with necessities for cooking. The home is set up so that everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom (2 bedrooms and bath on bottom floor, one bedroom/bath (ensuite) off kitchen, and top floor is covered patio. The highlight of this house is the outdoor space and pool. Complete with a gas grill and outdoor kitchen, we found ourselves not wanting to leave the house!
The only challenge we faced was the high level of traffic and construction on the road outside the house. We weren't expecting this as it seems like a fairly sleepy area, but each day brought dump trucks and consistent traffic.
Even taking the traffic into consideration, we would stay here again in a heartbeat! We are already planning our next trip back.
