SAVE 15% IF YOU BOOK BEFORE April 1, 2024. If you book for 2 consecutive weeks, you will save an additional $400 off. We also allow 10 and 11 night rentals. Wednesday to the following Saturday. Or, Saturday to the following Wednesday. This way you get an entire weekend in and avoid any traffic on a Wednesday arrival or departure. Our home is located at 266 N 5th Street in Surf City on Long Beach Island, NJ and is Pet Friendly. Our home is just a 5 minute walk or a 2 minute bike ride to the beach or bay. We supply 6 Beach Badges during your stay. Once on the Island, our home is less than a mile, so no traffic to deal with. By car, we are just 5 minutes from the mainland and 45 minutes from Atlantic City. Many restaurants, ice cream parlors and quaint shops are in walking distance, so park the car and everything you need is close by including the famous 5 & 10. If you want a home and yard that is cleaned to perfection by my wife and I for 3 hours, versus a cleaning service for 30 minutes, then our home is the one you want. Only the owners will take the care it takes to make sure everything is in good working order and is cleaned right down to the remotes, door handles, outdoor shower and the barbecue grill. We also wash all the linens, towels and have all the beds made for you. By arriving by 1:00, you will beat the traffic of the 2:00 and 3:00 check-ins, you can then grab our beach chairs, umbrellas, 8x8 cabana, beach towels and head to the beach. You will get almost the entire day in. Save more time by leaving earlier and stop at ShopRite on Route 72 East for all your food and then you will be all set when you come back from the beach by not having to go out again. If you show up, say by 12:30-12:45 to put your food away, that is fine. Hard to time it down to the minute, we rather you be early so you can get more time to relax. We won't be in your way, as by then, we will be outside cleaning the grill, outdoor shower and pulling out any weeds. Surf City is one of those classic LBI towns, a place where folks come year after year. And in the last several years, Surf City has become something of an artist enclave with galleries like the MT Burton Gallery, Firefly, Swell Colors & Solace Gallery. The eateries have stepped it up as well, as Baked on the Beach, Dio's Cafe, LBI Table, Northside Bar & Grill, Wally’s, and the Sandbox, have added to the scene. Maybe you’re into those time-honored LBI traditions like Panzones, Surf City Pizza, or Scojo’s. The Yellowfin, on 24th St. is one of LBI’s best restaurants. Russo's Italian Restaurant is fantastic. Surf City is also loaded with cool treats in the summer like the Big Dipper, Rita’s, Scoops and Aunt Ollie’s. Our Surf City vacation home is just a short walk from the beach and amenities. Whether you are looking to take our 2 kayaks for a cruise around the bay or rent a sailboat, play tennis, launch your craft from the Surf City boat ramp, or head to the traditional Surf City hotel for music and dining, Surf City has it! We want our guests to feel at home and not have to spend hours packing and unpacking like the way we used to. We want your vacation to be as enjoyable as ours when we are here. So, to achieve this, we have included the following; Fresh Linens for 1 King, 2 Queen and 1 Twin Bed for each stay. You may bring your own, if you wish. All the beds will have clean sheets, sealed in plastic, on the beds if you wish to use our sheets.16 Bath Towels and 12 Beach Towels plus additional towels for the bathroom and kitchen. Iron and Ironing Board, Portable High Chair, Pack & Play, Hair Dryers, Microwave, Cuisinart Toaster Oven, a Keurig , a regular Coffee Maker, Dishwasher, Pack & Play and a portable Highchair. We supply you with Toilet Paper, Tissues, Paper Towels, Laundry Pods and Dishwasher Pods. No need to pack any of these items. Pantene Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash in each shower and extras in the linen closet. 6 Season Badges for Surf City Beaches which includes the Bay Beaches. Anyone under 12 or 65 and older do not need badges. We have 2 Pelican 10 foot kayaks for you to use in our beautiful bay. We also have several different size ski jackets to have while out on the water. 6 Bicycles as seen in the photo to ride along the 18 miles of LBI and to watch the beautiful sunsets to end your perfect day. 2 beach carts, 2 umbrellas with screw in base, 1-8x8 foot CoolCabana,12 adult chairs, 6 sunshades for the chairs, 2 small child chairs with a sun umbrella, 4 boogie boards, 1 skimmer board, 1 skate board. 1 long board, 2 basketballs, volleyball, footballs, 4 tennis rackets and balls, portable putting green, putter and golf balls along with many beach & backyard games. SOLO Smokeless Fire Pit in the backyard. Cable with a 65 inch High Definition Smart Wi-Fi connected TV. Log on to your favorite streaming entertainment providers including Netflix, Amazon and Pandora. We have Xfinity Wi-Fi throughout our home. Just speak into the remote for the channel you want. There is also a smart TV in the Sun Room and Middle Bedroom.. New (2022) Central AC system along with wall air conditioners in each room. We like it colder. We also have quiet fans in every room. Fully loaded kitchen and has everything you need if you decide to cook. If we don't have something you need, just buy it so the next person has it to use and we will pay you for it. Washer, dryer, vacuum cleaner and a Roomba i robot vacuum available when needed. We are a NON-SMOKING home that could sleep up to 6 on our very comfortable beds. Enter through our front door with a keypad lock to the 4 digit code you choose, which makes it very convenient. We have two living areas, the Living Room for watching TV that seats 10 and a Sun Room with seating for 5, along with an added eating area for 4 at the table. The Sun Room is off the kitchen, which leads to the deck. We have a large Weber natural gas grill, which we clean each week. There are two double chairs with a table in between along with a foot rest is on the deck. Walk out to our large fenced in backyard that has a picnic table that seats 10 and has an umbrella and a shade tree with a hammock under it. Or lay out on the 2 lounge chairs. In the backyard, is our large private outdoor shower with a changing area. Our bike rack is towards the front of our home which makes it very convenient to be able to just hop on one of our 6 bicycles to get anywhere on the Island. In the Dining Room, you have a large new table that seats up to 6, in the Sun Room, there is a table for seating for 4. We love having breakfast in that room with the sun shining in. If you have friends stop by for a barbecue, you have enough seating for 10 at the tables inside plus 14 more outside. Our home has lots of room so everyone is not on top of each other. There are 3 bedrooms. The front bedroom off the living room has a queen bed and a new half bathroom. The middle bedroom has a queen and a twin bed. The back bedroom has a queen bed and the full bathroom is right outside the door. We do limit our home to a family of 6, but you are welcome to have a few guests come visit, as it's nice to have friends and family visit while on vacation. Our large private fenced in backyard makes it nice for small children and if you have a dog. We are located on one of the widest and quietest streets on the island with plenty of parking. You can fit 4 cars on our property and 3 in the street in front of our home for any quests. If you have an electric car, just plug into the 240 volt EV outlet located inside the fence by the gate. Since all our neighbors are full time residents, you don't ever have to worry about any of your guest finding a parking spot. We rented ocean block once and we never had a spot to park, as the people that come for the day, take up all the parking spots. We also will allow up to 2 non-shedding dogs for a fee of $50 per day, per dog for your stay with us. We can't allow shedding dogs, as people could be allergic to them. We also ask that they are up to date with their shots. We allow dogs, as we had rented a shore home a number of years ago and we were able to bring our 2 Portuguese Water Dogs, instead of boarding them in a kennel. It was our best full family vacation having them with us versus knowing they were alone in a room by themselves. For this reason, we have decided to make our home Pet Friendly. When we have guests with a dog, we will have our dog bowls out, 2 dog beds, dog toys and treats for our dog guests! This way you have less things to pack. Just bring their food and leash. At the end of your stay, please leave any beds slept in unmade so we know which beds needs to be washed and made for our next guests. We take those sheets home to wash, as there isn't enough time to wash, dry and make all the beds. We do not charge a cleaning fee. As I mentioned, we come and clean our own home ourselves which also allows us to make sure everything is in good working order each week so everything is perfect when you arrive. Hired house cleaners don't check items, as it's not their home. No chemicals are used for the weeds, as we don't want to pollute the groundwater or put any children or dogs in danger. We hand pick them. Why rent 2 or 3 hotel rooms, when you can have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, a dining room, outdoor shower and a full kitchen? Plus a fenced in backyard and everything in our home and shed to use along with 6 beach badges? Or why spend 2 days flying and spending over $4,200 or more just to fly a family of 6 somewhere when you can spend 7 or more days with just a short drive to beautiful Long Beach Island during the best time of the year?

Quiet, calm, comfortable, and relaxing foot for a
My wife and three boys chose this house as the place to spend our first week as a family on LBI. This house is on a fairly quiet street right in the middle of the island. You’re halfway between the beach and the bay. The 5 and 10 as well as Scoop City are within easy walking distance even for little kids. The backyard is big enough for a game of catch as well as a big family bbq. The inside of the house is nicely laid out and gives you enough room to not be on top of each other. The owner, Paul, is a very down to earth guy and is very accessible for questions or issues. He also includes so many things that might be extras at other houses. Like linens, kayaks, bikes, beach carts and on and on. We could have brought only our clothes and not been missing anything. In closing, the rest of you can wait in line behind us for dibs on this place for many years to come.

Great house! We love Surf City!
The house was exactly what we expected! The amenities provided by Paul and his family were super helpful (especially coming from the city) - he provided beach towels, bath towels, chairs, umbrellas.. even shampoo and body washes! Also, I'm a bit of a clean freak and the house was super clean! You can tell Paul truly cares about the condition of his home. Would return again.

Very helpful owner who is extremely diligent in ensuring you have a great stay. The house has everything you need to enjoy LBI. You only need to supply,food the people and the fun. Location gives great access to the entire island We would definitely stay at this property again.

Simply the BEST!
There really aren't enough superlatives to capture our experience at this wonderful home. From our initial contact with Paul, through the rental process, (communication was exceptional), to our feeling of excitement when we arrived and realized this home was MORE than we could've hoped for in a home away from home. Every detail was attended to. The property was exceptionally clean and well appointed. There was plenty of room for our teenage son and his friend and our adult daughter and her fur baby. Speaking of, the fenced backyard was heaven- for us and for our granddog! The beach on this street is just lovely! We road bikes, enjoyed dinner with our extended family ,watched sunsets, took the LBI shuttle.. just the best week ever. I would highly recommend--just don't take "our" week! :-) Thank you, Paul and Cathy- we can't wait until next year!

This is such a great house - it encompasses everything I love about LBI - it’s in a perfect area that is a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the Bay.

Paul and Cathy are wonderful people that go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay - down to shampoo and body wash - and yes even Tide pods for laundry.
I assure you this kind of hospitality is not the norm - in the shed you will find simply everything you could possibly need - bikes - beach buggies - umbrellas - it’s all there -
Paul and Cathy continue to put back into the house with upgrades - these are people that care - for any potential renters reading this review.

I understand navigating a proper property can be daunting -but this is a No Brainer - My Wife Doreen and I will be returning for our 5th straight year next September, just don’t think you will get the week after Labor Day - as long as I’m breathing- it’s mine!
Surf City is a jewel of a town - north of the Causeway- and has it all including the Famous Surf City 5 &10 which is a destination within itself -

My family and I just left this house and we already miss it. Sweet home with plenty of space; we had four adults and one two year old. Bright and sunny and the decor is lovely. The home has everything you need. Just pack your clothes and a few personal items. Paul and his family provides everything you need and truly cares that you have a wonderful vacation.

Why they chose this property

We looked at many homes, and as they say, location is everything. We are surrounded by nice people and nice homes. We are on one of the quietest streets and by far the widest on the island. We did not want a home that we had to walk up 13 or more steps every time we wanted or had to go outside. When you are at the shore, you will be amazed how often you go in out all day and night long. The most important thing was, that we were close to the beach. We achieved everything on our list! Also by being close to the bay, you may use one or both of our Kayaks. We also have life jackets for you to use. You can put them in the bay at the end of N. 1st street.

Check in time is 1:00pm so you avoid the traffic of everyone else checking in at 2:00pm. You may arrive at 12:45pm, as we leave the yard for last to weed. If you stop at ShopRite on Rt. 72 on your way here, you can just come in and unpack. This way you get to enjoy the best part of the day on the beach while everyone else is just getting to their homes. Check out is at 10:00am We have found people were leaving by 10:00am or earlier to avoid the traffic, so we figured we change it to 10:00am to give you more time on your first day. Most people like to get up and just get going on their last day. You win on both ends, avoiding the traffic and you get more time to enjoy your first day here in Surf City! No better place to be, anytime of the year! We just purchased a home in Surf City to live in ourselves in March of 2021. That's how much we love it here.

What makes this property unique

You don't have to arrive and leave on a Saturday. If you wish, you can arrive on any day of the week and leave a week later or add some additional days to avoid any traffic and the crowds at the grocery stores. You get to enjoy 2 entire weekends so you can invite friends for a barbecue on a Saturday verses arriving and leaving on a Saturday. You will enjoy the fact you have several rooms that your family can be in. Most of the homes we looked at, had one small room with a low ceiling that everyone had to be in and a very small area for just 4 people to eat in. That was not going to work for us, as we have 6 in our family and at times they have friends visit. The large dining area is perfect and and the real added bonus that sold us on this home, is the Sun Room with the deck off of it. You only have 3 steps to get to the large fenced in backyard verses 13 steps on a raised home.

You will truly love being here, as it is our favorite place to be. I was outside in my front yard just after purchasing our home and people were walking to the beach. I heard one person say to the other, "another day in paradise." I have to say, I truly agree with them. We absolutely love it here in Surf City. We love that we can just hop on our bikes to ride to the bakery in the morning, walk to the beach or bay in just 5 minutes or just take one of bicycles and be there in 2 minutes. It is nice to have the bike at the beach, so if someone needs to run back to the house, they are able to very quickly. I hardly ever use our car, as everything is within walking distance and surly close enough by using a bicycle. We can't wait to retire here one day, but until then, we would like to share our home and great times with other families so they can discover what a wonderful happy place this is. If you are looking to live in an extremely clean and well stocked home with all the amenities you will need to make your vacation pleasurable, then our home is what you have been looking for!
