ENTRY; A Covered pavillion is the the entry into the home. This space has an natural gas grill, fans, lights, fire pit and enough seating for 12. This 600 sq ft. covered outdoor room faces south and has lake and mountain views.
It's a wonderful space to hang out in any weather, and steps down onto a large yard with lake access. The patio door opens into the family/ great room. The single door enters into the kitchen/ great room.

GREAT ROOM; Open concept, 800 sq ft., total square footage: 1500

LIVING ROOM; A comfortable sunny space for reading, viewing TV, entertaining, or just gazing out the large windows at the bucolic views.
Fine quality furnishings include a new leather sofa sleeper with a memory foam mattress for a good nights sleep.
A 55' Samsung Smart TV is the anchor of the great room and ready for you to sign into your account.
We provide Premium Direct TV.

DINING ROOM; Large table seats eight easily. The charming old table is from Murphy's restaurant in Boulder. Before that it was a library table. It also doubles as a ping pong table. Look inside the drawers.

KITCHEN; All the rooms are great in this house but the kitchen is AMAZING.
A granite island with four stools separates the main work zone.
Several cooks could work in this kitchen and the flow is seamless.
There is a vast array of pots, pans, dishes, utensil, coffee, tea, paper and plastic products, food storage containers, roasters, small appliances, oh, and let's not forget the pantry.. .. GEEZ, this list can go on and on...I tried to imagine living here, so I believe it's well done. (Ha!)

MASTER BEDROOM; Luxury is the focus here with 400+ pima cotton sheets. This is a spacious master with a king bed.
The walk thru closet is clean and large. To quote Laurel, a former guest, “it’s a perfect nursery for the baby”
This is your space. We have no personal items in this home. There are extra blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, all premium quality.
We want this to be your home away from home.

MASTER BATHROOM; Another awesome room. Trough sink, toilet paper, tissue, blowdryer, shampoo, conditioner, mosquito spray, sun screen, nail polish remover...Okay, there's more, however, I'lll remind the guest that I want this home to have everything you may need.
Large master shower with rain shower and hand held shower head, small stool.., ok, now I'm just being redundant. You will fall in love with Jewel and everything it offers.

SECOND BATH AND BEDROOM: Washer, dryer, sink, shower. detergent, soap, shampoo, first aid kit. Second Bedroom is large with a queen bed.
WE HAVE 2 RENTALS on the estate. Jewel, this guest house, which accommodates the gatherings and Gem, a two bedroom one bath apartment on the second floor of our home. It’s 100 yards away from the guest house. There is also an option with a third bedroom and bath with Gem. This is the penultimate place for family and extended family gatherings.

Absolutely hands down best BNB experience we've ever had. Historic and tranquil setting with gobsmacker views and a kitchen any gourmet would appreciate. Margaret and Ron are truly Super Hosts. We will go back.

Quiet Getaway
The property was secluded. It was spacious. The kitchen had everything that you needed. It was quiet at night for a good nights rest. The house was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The views are beautiful from the home, and the outdoor space is very nice with plenty of seating.

A haven for peace and tranquility
My family & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful guest house. It was very clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The caretakers of the property well very friendly and helpful. And the dogs were super cute and sweet. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer, but we hope to be back again soon!

Perfect location and setting for us and our dog.
The house was everything as advertised and more. Perfectly organized with switches labeled, generous amounts of dishes, utensils, linens etc. beautiful design and setting and acres of fenced yard for our dog to wander. He played with the owners dogs and got plenty of exercise. Located in the country but minutes from Ft Collins, Denver and other interesting places to visit. Just a fabulous place we’ll thought out.

I have worn many hats throughout the years such as Bartender, Cosmetologist, Salon owner, Interior designer...
Now, I am fulfilling my lifes passion in creating sacred, beautiful spaces for others. Ron's background is mechanical engineering and a building contractor. We are both artist with our body of work being our home and property. Ron has a passion and penchant for making sculptures. It has taken over 20 years to fulfill the dream of bringing our diverse interests home and creating a sculpture park and garden on 4 fenced and gated acres. We live on the property and we are constantly making improvements. From gardening and everything in between, we do it all and we enjoy every moment!
We do hire help with cleaning and we pay a living wage.
The absolute best part is being able to share the joy of the estate with our guest who become dear friends. The bottom line is we are blessed to be living our dream and we are delighted to share this sacred place with you!
Our place is love made visible.

Why they chose this property

Our place is a destination unto itself. Some days you may want to kick back and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature. Take out the kayaks, paddle boat or the 14" sea king boat. Drop a fishing line and relax.
Come stroll the acreage of organic vegetables, flowers, orchards and the smattering of sculptures throughout the property.
We live on the property and our home is west of the guest house.
The pavilion at our home along with our golf carts are off limits.
Other than that, feel free to roam!
The gated entry has a walk gate integrated into it. The handle to open the gate is taped yellow.
This is the place to stay while visiting the Front Range.
Longmont and Loveland are 10 minutes away. Denver, Boulder, DIA, and Fort Collins are 30 minutes away. Easy access to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain national park in less than an hour. Perfect location for day trips. And perfect to come "home" to the tranquility of the Lake.
Highland lake is an historic town. It was a thriving town just after the civil war.. All but the church, a few historic homes and some ditch rider shacks remain along with several newer homes.
The town of Mead is 2 miles. Mead has charming older homes and a few storefronts.
Kelly’s restaurant/bar, post office, bank, dentist, Chiropractor, a fitnessand a great 3+miles walking /biking path. A multi use building is being built. It’s a cute town.

A weekly cleaning can be scheduled at an additional cost, or we have all the supplies for guests to clean.
