Large efficiency. 1 bed, 1 bath, sleeps up to 2 adults, 4 total.

Nice efficiency apartment in a popular neighborhood. Within walking distance to many restaurants, pubs, and cafes. It is very close to metro - only a 5 minute walk to the Shaw metro stop on the yellow line. Great for a couple, small family, or short-term work assignment. There is a private entrance and it is equipped with a large flat screen tv, that you can watch in bed on lazy days, high speed wireless internet, washer and dryer and full size kitchen.

The apartment includes a guest parking pass that allows you to park on the street for your entire stay.

There is corner market a block away that has essentials, a Giant supermarket a 15 minute walk or a quick ride on the G2 Bus (that picks up at the house). There are three other large supermarkets (Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's) within a 1 mile radius.

Linens, towels, shampoo, dishes, pots, etc. are all provided

This is a completely private apartment on the ground floor of a townhouse on Cooper Circle with natural morning light from the front window and door.

Good space with nice amenities!

This basement apartment was a nice affordable option for a short trip in DC. The shower was always hot with good water pressure, which was very appreciated after a long day of walking around museums and monuments.

As other reviewers mentioned, you can hear water running and people walking upstairs, but honestly it was never for very long and not an issue for us.

We didn't get to explore much of the neighborhood. There's a movie theater within walking distance that was nice and several bars in the area. Felt safe walking to the Metro line. Overall, I'd recommend this rental unit!

Very clean, perfect for what we needed!

Space was exactly as described. The unit was very clean and comfortable. Had all of the basic amenities that added to the stay. Could we hear the people above us...yes. But there is nothing the owner can do when they bust through their door drunk and obnoxious. Austin was very responsive and easy to work with! Nothing more than a text message away. Great location for not being in the heart of the city. Easy Uber rides to anywhere you wanted to go. Would stay here or any of the owners other properties in a heartbeat. Thanks Austin!!

Cozy apartment with easy access to the Mall

This apartment was perfect for me and my husband for our week in D.C. Having laundry was a blessing, and we appreciated being able to utilize a kitchen for keeping some snacks in the fridge.

Every morning we would grab a delicious breakfast sandwich at Uprising coffee shop. We highly recommend this!

We also highly recommend a little joint called Ko Chicks. Their wings are fabulous!

Just will hear footsteps from the above apartment. This wan't a huge deal except for the first night when we guessed the guests had an early flight and were scurrying back and forth at a very early hour. Otherwise, it wasn't a big deal.

Overall, we loved getting to experience a taste of the neighborhood while we vacationed in the city.

Great for the location- Close to the 9:30 Club!

I have to say that Austin made our trip extremely easy- I really appreciated how quick he was to respond and how reasonably priced the rental was! The rental was clean and the bed was super comfy (use caution when sitting on the couch!). The first draw back to this place is the amount of noise from the upstairs unit- and I don't mean heavy feet/stomping. There just didn't seem to be much insulation between the rental and upstairs so you were constantly listening to all manner of pops, gear grinding, clicks, and whooshes from their appliances, bathrooms, kitchen, and heating unit. Our second issue was the quality of the front door since the surrounding neighborhood has heavy duty doors and metal bars on their windows/doors, the rental door felt like it could be easily breached!

On the positive side, we discovered a local brewery (Right Proper Brewery) that had good beer, there are a lot of fun shops/restaurants/bars in both walking and driving distance to the rental, and if you want good Ramen- check out the place adjacent to the 9:30 Club! Haikan was the best!

Overall, I appreciated the fact that I was able to stay there for New Years Eve for a reasonable price and that Austin was so helpful. Unfortunately, I don't think I would stay in this rental again simply because I didn't get much sleep and didn't feel very safe.

Owner's Response: Christen, I am sorry you did not feel safe. Since burglary isn't an issue in Ledroit Park, bars on the windows/doors are not necessary. I have lived here for 16 years and in that time, no one has broken into the apartment. The bars on some of the houses in the neighborhood are holdover from the 70s and 80s when crime was a problem throughout the city. Both the front and back doors have deadbolts. You can hear all sorts of noises from above, but it doesn't bother most guests. There are quiet hours and if you have any problem getting to sleep, let me know asap and I will contact the people in the house above.

Decent location. Clean. Can clearly hear upstairs neighbors.

We stayed in DC for a conference at the convention center (20ish minute walk). Decent location for restaurants, pubs and getting to the convention center. Quick metro ride to the Mall. On street parking was easy to get. However, it is a basement apt (not much daylight) and there were tenants upstairs. You could HEAR everything (talking, walking, water running). That would be my biggest complaint. Otherwise, the apt was very clean and had everything we needed. Austin (the owner) was prompt in responding to texts.

Cute, comfortable apartment in a quiet neighborhood.

We enjoyed our stay in the Cooper Circle apartment. Being so close to both the Shaw/Howard metro stop and with several metro bus stops nearby, it was easy to get around. We hope to stay here again next time we visit D.C.
