Nice family home with five bedrooms, cable TV and WiFI. Off street driveway parking for 4 vehicles. Dogs are always welcome, fenced in yard. Hardwood floors throughout. 50's era style . Affordable accommodations without sacrificing quality. The beds will be made with fresh linens when you arrive. Extra cots available upon request. Owner has a colorful personality and it shows in the eclectic array of decor in the home. Each room has it's own theme. The 'Concord' room makes you feel like you entered Henry Thoreau's cabin in the woods. The 'Martha's Vineyard' room gives you a light and airy ocean feel. The white room 'Diva' suite is all white with crystal chandelier and lots of 'bling', which the kids have renamed "the Frozen Room". Fire pit in the yard for toasting marsh mellows. Nice outdoor patio and yard space. 24 hour Maintenance facilities manager lives in lower unit to handle any issues. Grocery store, playground (with water/sprinkler), liquor store, drug store and canoe launch all within walking distance. No functions or parties at the home. It is located in a quiet family oriented neighborhood on a tree lined street. located in a typical Boston neighborhood. No central A/C, air conditioner window units in some bedrooms if needed.
My overall experience was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. The location was great and the neighborhood was very quiet. The home was immaculate, had plenty of space and the amenities were up to par. I didn't want to leave. I highly recommend this location for anyone visiting Boston or even if you live there and want a nice getaway. Thank you Patricia. You rock!!!
This house is nice and has plenty of rooms. At least 4 cars can be parked in the driveway. One of bed sheet had dust and the extra ones are not as clean. The 24 hour maintenance facilities manager was nowhere to be found. Also, Patricia did not pick up the phone. I sent her a message on HomeAway and sent her a text message. She did respond to my text message. There are only 2 ACs in the house: one in the dining room and the remaining one in one of the bedrooms downstairs. The 2nd floor was too hot and the attic fan was too loud so we gave up trying to stay on the 2nd floor. I'd recommend the owner to install at least 3-4 more ACs in bedrooms on the 2nd floor and downstairs. I had to borrow 3 more fans from my fiancee's family and we still had to double up downstairs. Imagine what we had to go through the night before the wedding.
We visited Milton for a family reunion and the house was everything that we hoped for. The rooms had a lot of character and there was plenty of space for everyone. Patricia was incredibly responsive and helpful with the check in details as well. We would love the chance to stay again for the next one!
4+ Inside very pleasant. Outside needed a weed-whack, but we weren't outside for any length of time. Unique interior and easy half-hour drive into downtown. Lots of amenities including grocery, pizza, and liquor store nearby.
Comfortable, but tighter and smaller than seemed on pictures and farther from downtown than thought. Hot summer limits use of second floor due to heat and no AC unit. All had to double up downstairs on hot night. Basic amenities, cute bedrooms. Overall, would rent again with fewer people and better expectations, or cooler time of year.
Patricia was a very good hostess but the house was just OK. House was extremely hot, with no central air conditioner especially upstairs. Not as clean/maintained as you would expect for a vacation home. I would give the home a 4.5 out of 10.
