Just steps from the lake, with sandy bottom swimming, boating, skiing, boarding, tubing, kayaking, jet skiing, or water Volleyball on the sandbar. This sweet 1930's bungalow/cottage with French doors leading to front porch, is situated on a private lot with room to 'Play'.
Sip your coffee on the front enclosed nautical themed porch, and watch the sun dance on the water with your view of the lake. Walk across the street and take a morning dip in the clean waters of Big Green Lake. Great for kids, as it is a sand bar and there is lots of space to play in the soft sandy bottom shallows.
Launch your boat and anchor it within view at the lake access. Grab your cooler and off you go for your cruise around the lake.
Take a stroll to Reilly's Pub, less than 2 blocks from the bungalow, and enjoy a scrumptious meal on their outdoor patio. Or fire up the Weber and enjoy dinner, with outdoor dining. After dinner, relax in the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit, roasting s'more. What an Escape!

Cute bungalow but we will not be returning. I loath to give negative reviews, however, the owner took more than two plus weeks and me trying 3 times (first with Home Away, the VBRO, and again Home Away), before she responded to my request to rent. Then she told me that I could have an early check-in (which I didn't need) but had to have a early check-out because she would probably have the bungalow rented out again. We were the first checked guests of the season, leaving May 5th, and I looked at the bungalow's calendar; it's not booked again until late June!!!
There was sand in the dryer. A creepy crawler in the bathtub. Only enough dryer softener sheets for two loads (one for towels and one for personal items). Had to reset the breakers twice because we found out you cannot run microwave at same time as coffee pot. Nor can you use blow dryer same time washer is running. Please have owner a. Fix electrical problem and/or b. Provide instructions to where electrical box is for access to reset breakers (and clear cobwebs for future guests) and c. Provide a phone # and name of person that guest can contact so she doesn't have to send dear husband and friend through cobwebs looking for said breakers. And finally, what's with the television? I've said enough. I really, really liked the firm mattress in the downstairs bedroom!
The location is great, the property is in excellent conditions and with lots of beautiful details. We loved it. Thank you very much!
Great place. The owner/manager has thought of everything. Would definitely stay here again.
This is the second year we stayed at the Bungelow for the 4th of July week. The house is so cute; every room has special touches. The kitchen is well stocked, and there are spices and staples that are often forgotten. The Lake is right across the street. Green Lake is such a nice clean lake. We spend so much time on the water, tubing, skiing, fishing, and just playing in the water. This location and house are great for a relaxing vacation! Faith, the owner, is so wonderful to work with as well. Can't go wrong at the Lake Bungelow!
The home was clean and acceptable. Not having a bathroom upstairs was inconvenient but the size of home would not allow it. It was well maintained but we found it quite small. We had wanted to be closer to Green Lake than at the far end but had many fun adventures figuring out where everything was located. We were disappointed in lack of shopping in GL and surprised by the few restaurants available in GL. We did discover Reiley's on the corner near us and Heidle House. We took the boat tour and did one selection at the spa. We did lots of walking and found houses in GL well taken care of. I understand the economy was a factor in lack of stores in GL being up and running. Thank you for your professional care.
This was our second time staying at the house. The owner is wonderful to work with and the house has everything you need for a great stay on the lake. We definitely recommend this lovely home as a vacation spot.
