Your host, Ron, has decades of experience in hospitality, as the owner of one of Seattle's most beloved restaurants. I expanded into home renovation during 2010 as general contractor as my wife and I brought our 1967 home into the 21st century. We updated every inch of the home and are comfortable on the first and second floors of this three story home. We especially love the location, the feeling of being in the forest as we gaze out on the wooded garden and watch the birds.
Ron purchased this apartment in 2010
We have lived in Northeast Seattle for years, but especially enjoy this home for its tranquil setting combined with easy access to everything we love. We can be in the Cascade or Olympic Mountains, on Puget Sound, or the San Juan Islands in no time. Our community is diverse, urban, literate and comfortable.
We adopted the Pacific Northwest as our home many years ago, have raised our children here, and are now ready to share our community with visitors. We trust you will leave Seattle as smitten as we are!
For the last 3 1/2 years our plan was to come 3 times a year & stay for 30 days - I lost count how many times & days. What could I add to all the great reviews-that Ron is always updating, improving. From new towels, new bar stools for kitchen, great beverages available. A wonderful rocking chair in 2nd bedroom to rock grandchildren who visit. A Keurig coffee machine with coffee, tea, cocoa. A beautiful backyard, great gas grill. We used the city bus and found it to be on time, friendly drivers & a bargain for seniors. I always felt like we were coming back home-sad our daughter & family moved -a wonderful place to stay. Ron makes you feel so comfortable-we will miss him & our Seattle home. Thank you Ron!
The apartment was perfect. Ron was very helpful and responsive! Apartment was clean, wonderful linens, WiFi was great, lots of "little touches of home", parking stall was perfect, location was also perfect, esp. if you have a child at UW! We just loved our stay! And we will be back!
Loved this place! Very comfortable and convenient to LRT to get downtown. Ron has supplied everything you could have in your home - down to ziploc bags! Beds were super comfortable and the house was quiet and cozy in a lovely neighbourhood. Would definitely stay here again. We usually stay downtown but found this more relaxing and just as convenient- once we spent a day downtown we didn't need to have another day there and this allowed us to explore other areas of the city. Next time we will bring bikes to explore the trails that are right outside the door. Thanks Ron for being a gracious host!
Ron is really nice and spoke with him a few times over the phone. I
supposed to stay here with my family relatives from oversea, but I didnt able to make it. I saw a lot of nice pictures. Ron was helping them a lot with moving luggage. I would like to stay there myself next time
Great location, beautiful surroundings, lovely owners, fully equipped unit! One of the best vrbo we have ever stayed in! Already booked it again for our next visit!
