Prana Residence-Spa is a holistically designed residence provides total relaxation and the transformation of vital life (Prana).
It is located on five and half acres atop the forested hills of Cornwall Bridge in Litchfield County, Connecticut, less than two hours from Manhattan.
Prana Residence-Spa accommodates 7 guests and features a spacious living/dining room with a dramatic 20-foot high dome ceiling and a signature wood burning fireplace. A fully equipped open kitchen with its stone countered bar looks out into the large yet cozy living room. The residence has three attractive bedrooms, a loft, and three baths. The master bedroom is on the ground floor. A spiral staircase connects the living room to the library/meditation area and the guest bedrooms.
Prana Residence-Spa features a large indoor pool, sauna, deep, cold plunge tub, indoor Jacuzzi, hot tub and solarium, which can be also used as a massage therapy room. The Spa facilities are for exclusive use of Prana Residence--Spa guests. Its unique and inspiring structure has made a significant impact in the building industry and has been frequently written about in national and international publications, such as the New York Times. Additionally, its environmentally LEED chosen materials keep the building cool in the summer (without need for air-conditioning) and toasty warm in the winter (with minimum heating). However for exceptionally hot days, we have installed an air conditioning unit in the living room.
The area is known for its diversity of birds, including wild turkeys, which one can often view while sitting in the lounge. Its natural landscaping and large boulders, as well as old trees, attract different wildlife including friendly deer.
At your request and with an advanced booking we can book a variety of services, including professional massage therapy and other spa services, butler, private chef, daily housekeeping and chauffeured car service. We can also recommend and arrange outdoor recreational activities such as horseback riding, and other seasonal activities such as water sports, trout fishing, canoeing on the scenic Housatonic River as well as bird watching at the nearby Audubon Center.
The place is available with advance reservation, with a minimum stay of two days or three days during holidays. The rate is $750 a night plus a $300 cleaning fee, which covers the disinfection of the spa facilities after each guest. Please call 212-534-0727.

Heavenly Honeymoon
This was a bit of a gamble for us going into things, but we could not have been more pleased. My wife and I were looking for a place to have our closest friends and family join us after our wedding reception. We were married at the nearby Hopkins Inn and had the pick of the posh Washington CT 5+ BR estates, cozy lake houses and Prana - which we have affectionately come to know as the bubble house :)
We ultimately picked Prana, because just looking at the pictures we decided - Hey, this is like nothing else any of us have ever seen. And we could not have been more right. If you've stayed in a house like Prana, I'd be shocked, but if you have then you know you'll love this place too!
Prana was the perfect place to start our journey together with the love of those that mean the most around us. This is a spa and an all out escape from reality. You walk in and it takes a good 10 minutes to close your jaw from the awe that is inspired by the architecture, design and charm - all of which are equally present in Prana owner, Noushin.
We had our closest friends stay over with us and our family stopped in to provide dinner and brunch the next morning. A minimum of twenty people saw this "house" and each and every one of them was equally amazed.
We made use of every single amenity multiple times. The Sauna and Plunge Pool were a favorite of the guys in the group - and if we can ever afford to do it we will be installing one in our house someday. The women seemed to prefer the outdoor hot tub and time on the hammock. The indoor pool was also extremely enjoyable and our guests loved waking up to fresh coffee and eating breakfast in the solarium.
In all we had six people sleep over and it was extremely comfortable. My wife and I then kicked them out so we could have a day at this residence all to ourselves. We kicked back and enjoyed the amenities and went to a great little restaurant in nearby Kent. We did not want to leave, and Noushin was gracious enough to extend our checkout until 2 PM which was so nice. She also was kind enough to leave us a bottle of champagne for our wedding!
We would not change anything and will be coming back for anniversaries and I won't be surprised if our other friends choose to have their post reception gatherings at Prana.

This well-published house is just amazing! My husband, our 9-year-old son and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously this weekend by being here.
Every house has its own spirit and energy, which I am more and more aware of. Once we entered the door of this house, we felt the energy of deep tranquility and serenity. The house and the environment brought us to tranquility away from busy and noisy New York City. In addition, the sauna, indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot tub rejuvenated us. The spa facilities are additional tools for you to feel that you are a star in your own romantic movie and you can write your own script, especially when you are in the hot hub counting the stars in the clear blue sky.
"Prana", the name of the house, just speaks to the soul of the house--force of life. We immersed ourselves in the spirit of mindfulness and meditation. We also felt the strong transforming force and vivid life through our inner power. The opposite of life is not death, but lack of love. Through the beautiful selection of art work and simple yet soulful decor, the owner not only shares her physical place, but also shares her love for people.
We love the house for many reasons and can only say that you will never experience that much joy and tranquility anywhere else.

this is a wonderful place to relax; super clean and Noushin is terrific. It isn't inexpensive but there just isn't anyplace like it. Some properties do not stay as good as they once were, this does and is worth the cost. We stayed a few times and 3 nights is best.
Had an amazing relaxing Birthday!
I was there for celebrating my Birthday. Everything about it was very unique and special and a big surprise. I felt like I was transported into the magical world of the heavens far away! A get away from the stresses of the real world to a world of tranquility and inspiration. I was greeted by the property owner Noushin who is a renowned Architect and a very friendly person. The decoration was very tasteful. One of those cases where the pictures don't do justice! All I needed was a tooth brush and my change of cloths, everything else was provided. The drive was very easy, less than two hours away from NYC. Had an amazing and unique experience. Highly recommended!
What an Amazing experience!
This place is very different than any other place I've stayed in through out the world! You feel like you've been taken to another space in time!! My second time here. Relaxing and getting away from it all. It's like being in a private resort of your own! Took a dip in the out door hot tub was so wonderful and relaxing, the ultimate feeling of being One with the nature! I defenitely recommend the experience at least once, but I am sure you will want to keep coming back here again!!
Amazing Experience for Couples or Small Groups
I spent a once-in-a-lifetime weekend at the Prana Residence Spa with my girlfriend. Love was in the air from the moment we arrived. We brought food with us which we prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. There is even a NutriBullet shake maker for healthy treats. It was extremely romantic to prepare the food together. Dining options include the kitchen counter, glass round table in the living room and glass round table in the enclosed sun room. Because this residence is far from neighbor houses we can freely move around in any attire. The curved walls make you feel you are in gigantic eggshell shielded from the disturbance of outside world, ready to rejuvenate. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with excellent mattress for sleeping and romantic activities. Behind the bed is a Jacuzzi bath. Behind the Jacuzzi, bathroom area with toilette without separating wall. If you are squeamish about using the toilette in front of your partner, two other bathrooms are available.
There is also an outdoor Jacuzzi on the outside deck accessible from the indoor pool with a short walk which may feel very long if you go in the winter cold. We had an early spring snowfall which helped with the wonder romance experience in the Jacuzzi. We continued the water miracle with swimming in the heated pool. The romance continued in the sauna which has a cold dip pool next to it. To top it off there is a double shower at the entrance of the pool which spells love & romance. The property is very serene for walking and listening to birds. There is also an incredible trail on the shore of the nearby Housatonic River.
