We made last minute plans to take our vacation in St Raymond and needed a place with access to the snowmobile trails. We didn't need a place as big as this but our choices were limited at the time. We'd rate it five stars if we weren't using it for our snowmobiling vacation. The house location and the driveway are not the most ideal but is definitely doable, and we'd consider going there again on a future visit. The driveway is steeper than you can really tell from the pictures, so we couldn't leave the trailer, a 2-place 6ft enclosed, unhooked from the truck unless it was left at the street. It just wanted to slide downhill. We used the trailer like a garage each night for the sleds so we wanted to be able to drive them in and out. So it had to stay connected to the truck, which was fine unless we wanted to go somewhere by truck rather than by snowmobile.
The access trail is only about a mile down an association road, which had enough snow for lubrication, but only barely enough on the one day it warmed up and melted the snow on the roads. We saw other snowmobiles accessing the lake a few houses down through a seasonal property and used that most the week to get to the trail. It was actually marked on the lake which helped when returning at night in the dark. There was also a marked trail going down the lake to the access trail. GPS says it was 5.6 miles (9 km) to the main trail system from the house.
The house itself is exactly as described; we really couldn't ask for any better. The only thing not in the pictures is a small garage at the top of the driveway. But that really didn't matter. Everything we needed was there. So all we had to bring was food. Having internet and a phone was great since cell service was up and down with the weather. Most cell service we had was two bars.
Also wonderful was the graciousness and helpfulness of the owner's father who "rescued" us after we returned very late from a ride, after 9:30PM, to find that the parking lights were left on the truck all day and killed both batteries. We were planning to be up and out early the next morning which was our last day, and we had extended our week by that one day to try and get one more ride in. So if not for the late night arrival of a battery charger to help us out, our vacation would have been cut short and the extra day would have been wasted. We're so thankful for the help.
Overall, it was a great stay and we'd definitely recommend it to others.
It was such a beautiful home and beautiful scenery! The owner was very helpful with all of our questions. The house was neat and tidy, very well maintained! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! It was a lovely experience!!
Clean, perfect for kids, equipped with everything you need except food! The owners thought of everything to make our stay stress-free.
Take note that you don't have lake access from the house! We drove about 7 minutes to a camp with lake access which you have to pay for but that cost comes with full access to canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards. Totally worth the $.
What a wonderful vacation home! "Le Maison" had everything we could have possibly wanted and more. It was very clean, nicely decorated and stocked with essentials. The family was so nice to work with. We loved the area and it was a quick, easy drive to Quebec City. Highly recommended! We will be back! Jerry & Debi Binkley, Indiana

This property is on the road that is bordering the seven islands lake in St-Raymond, Quebec. This area is very quiet with a huge nature preserve all around the property ( Reserve Duchesnay) that is great all year around. The city of St-Raymond nearby is a logging town that has a slow pace and friendly people with some great restaurants. The motto of the city is 'living in nature'. There are excursions for hunting, fishing, ATV and Snowmobile rentals nearby as well. During the summer, it is possible to have access to a superb beach with canoe and paddle boat rentals on the same lake as the property. The property itself has lake access via the nearby marina and it is possible to bring your own non-motorized boat and use the ramp at that location for free.
