'Thank you so much for sharing this very cozy cabin. We had a wonderful time. You had everything we needed to feel right at home. See you real soon.'
We love to spend time as a family in southern Utah. We hope you'll experience as many precious family moments in Duck Creek Village as we have!
Mike Richards purchased this cabin in 2007
Our family discovered Duck Creek Village over a decade ago while exploring Bryce Canyon and Zions National Park. We fell in love with it's peaceful charm. We knew it was a place where we'd want to spend a lot of time together as a family. Building a family cabin made perfect sense. We have loved getting away to the mountain as often as possible.
Some things we love about the cabin are it's proximity to ATV trails that lead to fantastic overlooks and wander through beautiful national forest land. We enjoy fishing at four pristine lakes that are close by and exploring interesting places like caves, water falls, slot canyons, lakes and streams. At the end of fun filled days it's always enjoyable to sit around the camp fire and talk about the good times.
Hey! We had an awesome time here! Thank you so much for the nice cabin! There were so many places for sledding, tubing, and snowmobiling here. This is a great cabin. We had tons of snow in only 4 days. we had to call the plowers 3 times because it snowed so much but it was so fun!! We sent snowmobiling for 2 days and sledded and tubed for the other 2 days. Thank you so much for letting us rent this cabin. It was amazing. The cabin was WONDERFUL!!!
It was a great location. The fire pit outside was perfect. Just a few things that bothered me in the house. The water faucet in the kitchen did not turn off good. It dripped a lot if you didn't put it in a certain position each time it would run and not just a drip. We found a spider in our bed the first night, and we found spiders in each of the bathtubs. A lot of spider webs around the house behind doors and ceilings. There were 2 dead birds on the porch when we first got there. The jacuzzi tub didn't work, we were sad about that. I use to clean rooms for a few years, and so I just notice things that other people wouldn't see. In the master bedroom the bedspread had something on it. So I just folded it up and put it on the floor. And we could see a few places on the carpet from pets before us. (I had a black light flash light that we use at home to look for bugs)
But in the end. The house was awesome and big enough for all of us and it was GREAT to be able to have our whole family in one place. We all had so much fun... Yes, we would do it again ...FOR SURE!
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the home during our visit to Utah. We had never been to Duck Creek Village before and were very glad that we stayed there during our trip! The home was beautiful and had enough room and amenities to make the stay comfortable. The only thing was that the refrigerator side didn't get cold enough so we had to keep some of our perishables in the freezer side, but we managed and Mike, the owner, responded to our concern in a timely manner. The home is centrally located between Zion and Bryce Canyon National (approximately an hour drive to both from the house). Duck Creek Village has really great activities to do also: ATV trails, hiking, and fishing in nearby rivers and lakes (Navajo Lake was pristine!) We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Thanks Mike!
Mike was great! Everything was ready for us and the videos he sent us before we got to the cabin made everything easy! The cabin location was great for all the activities Duck Creek has to offer! It was a wonderful family trip and plans are already being made for next year!
Very nice cabin, fully loaded with all utensils and conveniently located close to major national parks. We'll be back!
We stayed at the cabin with a group of nine and there was more than enough room for us all. The cabin kitchen was well stocked and made cooking easy. The drive to the cabin was beautiful and the area is very scenic. We loved the cabin and being so close to Bryce and Zion Parks.
