It was comfortable for our girls weekend. We totally enjoyed it and a great thrill when Thunder came to visit. Everything was great
Cute hideaway with the basics
The setup of the home was great for us. We are a family with 2 young boys. The boys loved having the upstairs loft with a side for each of them. Be aware with no curtains the loft and general areas will be light at daybreak. The master has a double bed and there is lots of room to couch sleep if you have more people in your group. The boys loved being able to explore outside. The home is located on a gravel road that dead ends so there is very little traffic. You really need to plan ahead to stay here as it's a drive to get to anything. We got groceries on our way from the airport and it's a good thing as there is zero fast food, only one little café, and one general store without a long drive. Due to this - make sure to pack food and get gas well before heading to this location and also when you venture out. There is also not an ice maker so grab some ice when leaving major cities. The cabin does lack tv. Apple tv is advertised so I assumed we would have some basic channels. In reality there is nothing at all to watch which was disappointing and mgmt. did nothing to help. The owner should consider at least a basic tv package or provide an apple login so we can at least see the local news. We were able to sign into our amazon account and just watch movies all week. The place does have a healthy stock of spices but it's difficult to find pans with matching lids. There is a trash compactor but we learned the hard way that the bags provided aren't really compactor friendly as they rip when you take them out due to weight. The place is in a good location. Its off the path but we visited Bryce, Cedar Breaks, and three caves in the area that we found on google for day trips. Be aware that there is zero cell phone coverage as you travel around so a car with navigation is a must. Overall it was a fun week for us and we did enjoy our time there. We specifically wanted to be in the mountains where the air was cooler and that was accomplished. We were there in July and no a/c wasn't an issue as long as you opened the windows and were out exploring during the day. I would recommend this place to others and would think with just a few small changes around tv and kitchen offerings it would be an even better experience.
This home is great. Thank you!
Nice for small families
Our family loved celebrating our twins’ birthday and father’s day while at the Red Door Retreat. Thanks for doing it right!
Great time but cabin was dirty
This was the 2nd time for us to stay at this cabin. We love the property!
But we were however disappointed with the overall cleanliness. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The floors were dirty. There were no trash bags in the kitchen and there some major hair balls under the sink. Along with some mouse tracts.
The rest of the house was great. We really feel at home at this cabin but I think that the cleaning service is not doing their job...
We do have one request. My wife left her makeup bag in the Master bath. Is there any way you can get that back to us? We will pay for the shipping.
Let me know and I will provide my address.
Matt & Debbie
We are so sorry about the lack of cleanliness and wish you had called so we could have sent our team out to correct any oversights. We will be in touch about the make-up bag if we can find it. Thanks!
My siblings and myself paid for my mother to stay at the Red Door Retreat for Mother's Day. She loved it!! Very lovely and classy. They loved the quality and space. They couldn't figure out how to work the tv (which I am very sure was on their end) but everything else was awesome!! Thank you!!<br />
