About the property

2 bedrooms, 1 bath, sleeps 6 w/pull out sofa. ** Primary Renter Minimum Age: 25

We would love to have you visit our secluded riverfront home in the heart of Mount Washington Valley. “Lost on the River” is a slice of heaven on the east branch of the Saco River. Situated on the end of a private road less than 10 minutes to North Conway, this is a wonderful “out of the way location, close to everything” in the middle of all the White Mountains have to offer – hiking, golf, Storyland, outlet shopping, skiing, snowmobiling, fly fishing or taking a refreshing dip in the river in front our house. This area is also home to some of the best motorcycle riding in all of New England.

Our cabin is perfect for couples and small families who enjoy the tranquility of a remote riverfront location yet appreciate the amenities of a fully functional house. It is clean and comfortable with many ‘little extras” – fireplace, full kitchen, washer/dryer, HDTV, DVD, Free WiFi, free telephone, stereo, gas grill, as well as a riverfront fire pit.

Your dog is welcome with prior approval and an additional $15/night pet fee.

Summer and Fall: Start off your day with breakfast on the front porch overlooking the riverfront, pack a lunch and hike around nearby Mountain pond, come back and relax by the fire pit on the river, and then fall to sleep with the sound of the river outside your bedroom window…..

About Brenda Stein and Damon Burchill

We live on Cape Cod and met about 10 years ago. We were married at this property in 2010. In 2011 we became custodial grandparents to 2 beautiful girls (7 & 12), and now do not have the opportunity to visit as often as we used to..... So we have decided to share our property with others who will appreciate the very special location.

Brenda Stein and Damon Burchill purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Brenda Stein and Damon Burchill chose Bartlett

We knew we wanted to buy in the North Conway area, and had been looking at a lot of 'cookie cutter' houses.... Our 1st priority was location - even if we had to build. When the realtor drove us up to this house, we both knew the second we stepped out of the car we had found what we were looking for!! And the fact that we had a fully functioning house was a dream come true!!! We are sure that you will feel the same!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Brenda,

I just wanted to thank you again for allowing us to rent your home for the past week. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there … spending the days hiking, and evenings by the stove. It was a wonderful week, and your cabin was just perfect … just what we were looking for. The location is perfect …hopefully we can visit again during the summer when we could take advantage of the river and front porch! Thanks again, as your cabin has so much personality and character and warmth … that it isn’t a rental, but it’s a home!

Secluded yet close to everything

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. Being close to one of our favorite hiking trails as well as a short drive to North Conway made this the perfect location for a relaxing break. Very comfortable accommodations, lovely scenic views. Would definitely return for another New Hampshire adventure!

Great little getaway!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our weekend Lost on the River. We found everything we needed for some down time together in between nearby ski runs. Highly recommended and we hope to be back soon!

Great location, secluded but close to it all.

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't ask for anything else. This place was perfect for our winter get away. The location feels secluded yet you can be in town in no time.

We visited the area mostly for the top notch cross country skiing facilities in the area. We found great restaurants, pubs, and shopping close by to compliment the skiing.

The cabin was perfect for us. It was clean, cozy and picturesque. It was well stocked and very comfortable. Pride in ownership is very apparent.

What ever the time of year, this cabin will be our "go to" place when ever we are visiting the White Mountains.

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

So close to everything but so far away. This was exactly what we needed and hope to be back next year. The owners are great, this was a surprise getaway for my wife, and when I told them that, they offered flowers or champagne which was thoughtful. The cabin is rustic and homey, and the river is right there, we walked along side it down a trail each day we were there. If you want to go out to eat or go shopping, society is about 10 min away. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to be back.
