About this property

Luxury Getaway of the Rockies, viewing distance to local Osprey nest!

Welcome to your home away from home! You will want to return again & again.

Luxurious accommodations centrally located to all that Summit County has to offer. A short 20 – 30 minute drive from the property to five major ski resorts, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone (offers night skiing), A-Basin and Loveland. We are only 40 minutes to Vail. The guest suite is located on the 2nd floor of our home and has a separate entrance for privacy. The connecting door is locked off from the main house. We occupy the other side of the home with no shared living space. Approximately ½ mile from bus stops on the Summit Stage route, Summit County’s free bus servicing the towns of Frisco, Breckenridge, Silverthorne and Dillon as well as local ski areas. Taxis, Lyft & Uber available as well in the area. Two Tesla super charging stations within 2 miles of our property. Not to mention ones provided at Whole Foods Market in Frisco.

This upscale residence constructed in 2015 captures breathtaking views of the Blue River Valley and surrounding mountain peaks. You can enjoy the view from your private balcony or through many large windows. Summer nights are quite cool (upper 40's to low 50's F) so air conditioning is not needed. Free parking directly in front of your private entrance. Your living space includes a gas fireplace, kitchenette and private bathroom. The compact kitchen contains all the gadgets you may need. The microwave is also a convection oven which can be used like a traditional oven. Note....it is not as large as a regular oven. The desk can double as a dining table.

A contemporary mountain design makes this home really stand out including custom barn doors, reclaimed timber accents, eco-friendly lighting with dimmers and radiant floor heat throughout. Of course, we have recycling bins for our sustainably minded guests.

The queen-sized bed includes a down comforter in the winter months (down alternative upon request). The sofa in the living room may be used as a single bed. This unit is equipped with one flat-screen 42” smart TV. Guests may stream Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc from their own accounts. Free WIFI is provided in order to use these services. Linens and towels are provisioned as well. The day bed in the bunk room can be used as 2 twin beds, one twin or and oversized queen bed. Bunk room (not a full size bedroom) available for groups of more than 2 people.

Nearby attractions include the Silverthorne Recreation Center, Dillon Reservoir, Silverthorne Factory Outlet stores, the Blue River and Arapahoe National Forest. World class hiking just steps from our door, or a very short drive away. Summit County offers numerous world class recreational activities such as snow boarding, ice skating, dog sledding, tubing, snowmobiling, biking, rafting, walking, scenic drives, paddle boating, kayaking, sailing, hiking, fishing and golfing and of course, skiing. Tennis courts and a baseball field are only a 12 minute walk from the house. There is a great sledding hill just a block away from the house. Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is just minutes from our door. Summit also offers great cultural events including the Dillon and Breckenridge Theaters, Breckenridge Music Festival and National Repertory Orchestra, free concerts in the Summer in Dillon, Farmers markets, dancing, art festival, galleries and much more!

Unfortunately, at this time the hot tub is no longer listed as an amenity for this property.

Perfect place to stay for family.
Very clean, well maintained and confortable. As I really liked this place last year, we came back for the second time this for ski vacation for my family. I liked the Loveland sky resort which is 20 min from this place. Very good for family and not to expensive.

Great All-Around
The location is very convenient for skiing any of the surrounding resorts (around 35 min to Vail, 20 min to Breck). The communication and check in process were great, which is much appreciated. The apartment is beautiful and clean and the views are lovely as well.

My spouse and I enjoyed a delightful three-night stay. The compact apartment impressed us with its tranquility and cleanliness. Its proximity to town and breathtaking views made it an ideal spot. The comfortable bed, heated floors, and excellent water pressure added to the positive experience. We easily explored Breckenridge and ventured to Good Time Adventures for a memorable snowmobiling experience on the continental divide. Grateful for Kirsten and Mike's generosity, it was a fantastic vacation!

Ski trip
Enjoy being in a neighborhood rather than busy condo/hotel setting. Convenient to skiing, good restaurants and cute mountain towns. Also, love the area for winter hikes!

Hi, I’m Kirsten, as a Colorado native I’m delighted to be living in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with Michael, who also designed our home. I have visited many beautiful places all over the world yet the Colorado Mountains lure me back again and again. I hope you find the Colorado Rockies captivating as well and they become one of your favorite destinations.

Why they chose this property

Summit County is known as Colorado’s playground and Silverthorne has always been one of my favorite Summit county locations. I love the wide-open valley with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and vast sky. Summer hikes and winter sports are just two of my past times. The property is located next to a fabulous golf course and just minutes to all the major ski resorts including Vail and Beaver Creek with convenient access to the I-70 corridor.

What makes this property unique

Quiet neighborhood with lots of wildlife meandering by! Dark sky laws in Summit County provide great viewing of the summer meteor showers which peak mid August. We have an Osprey nest on the golf course with the same Mom & Pop returning every year in April.
