Photos and Description of this Pocono Pines holiday cottage

6 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 1 half bathroom, sleeps 12

Experience pure luxury in the Pocono Mountains at this beautiful and historic 104 year old home. The house was built as a vacation cottage in 1912 and has since been lovingly restored to its original condition of tongue and groove yellow pine. As you step inside, you are taken back to a time when clocks didn't matter and family traditions were the key to happy memories.

Each beautiful bedroom has a wrought iron bed and a comfortable place to sit quietly and soak in the natural surroundings. Leave your linens at home, Fresh Sheets and Towels are always provided at Ingleside. The updated kitchen and bathrooms confidently combine the home's old world charm with 21st century luxury.

In warmer weather, a big covered porch beckons all to sit and read, visit, and take meals outdoors. The bonus room above the garage offers 1000 square feet of hang out space with plenty of comfy seating, a huge TV, ping pong table, and bar.

Within 12 miles are 3 major ski mountains, outlet shopping, hiking, golfing, antiquing, and horse back riding. Less than 90 miles from both NYC and Philadelphia, this is a wonderful home for families to gather and enjoy their time together.

The house is also just 5 miles from the newly constructed Kalahari Resort. This incredible indoor water park and events center offers exceptional family fun, right down the road from Ingleside Cottage. The resort features restaurants, bars, games, shopping, a luxurious spa, and, of course, the amazing indoor water park!

**Please note, there is a minimum age of 30 for any groups of guests to rent this home. Families with children, of course, are more than welcome.

Magical Framily Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year renting Ingleside and we couldn't have loved it more. Our "Framily" (friends that are really like family) consists of 6 adults, 7 kids from 10-4...and each of us loves calling this magical place our "Pocoloco home". Plenty of space, cozy beds, clean (everything) and the delicious scent of a recent burning fire from the beautiful fireplace welcomes us each year! On rainy days kids hang out in the awesome playroom over the garage watching movies or playing hide and seek in the many nooks and crannies of this neat home. Owners are always responsive and very helpful! Wish I could give it 10 stars. Until next year!

We had a wonderful family reunion. The pictures do not fully show this amazing home. We had 13 family members ranging in age from 1mo. to 66. We never felt too confined as there are plenty of places to hide for a little quiet time. The kids enjoyed the yard and ran off all that energy and the play room gave us space to hang on the one day it rained. Thoroughly recommend this home. Thank you Thomas..

Wonderful Home for a Family Getaway!!!!

  • 5 of 5

I do not know where to begin with all the amazing things I have to say about this house and the owner. Twelve on my family members went to this home (a.k.a. Ingleside) for a family weekend getaway (two nights / three days). First off, the entire planning process with the owner, Thomas, was as easy as it comes. The contract was forthcoming with no concern of any hidden details. Thomas responded to all my emails immediately to answer any questions my family had and was beyond accommodating to any requests. You could tell how genuinely kind he was through his emails. I felt like he was part of our family.

This house is absolutely beautiful!!! As soon as you walk in the front door you feel as though you are home. The pictures on the website do not do this home any justice. The house is immaculate, warm and cozy and is beautiful decorated. This house has so much history and charm that you cannot help but to fall in love with it. The bedrooms were beautiful and roomy and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were immaculate. You would think for a house that is over 100 years old that it would be freezing, but completely the opposite. The house was always so warm and cozy. Thomas assures that kitchen is fully stocked with all the accommodations of home (i.e. coffee pot, toaster, cups, plates, silverware…). Thomas even provided us with linens and towels and plenty of firewood for the huge fireplace.

The extra room (loft) above the garage is amazing. First off, you have the bridge that connects the loft to the house which makes it so easy to go from one to the other. You do not have to worry about trudging through the yard. It is a great extra space to hang out and play games. The loft is just an extension of this beautiful home.

Thomas is the nicest person on the planet. Some of my family arrived before I did, so unfortunately I did not get to meet him, but they could not stop talking about how nice he was. He even provided us with some shopping suggestions since we all loved how Ingleside was decorated. He was quick to respond to text messages and emails and told us not to worry about anything. He really made renting his home a pleasant experience.

Not one member of my family has any suggestions on how to make this experience any better. Everything was truly perfect. Our family has now started a yearly Ingleside tradition. I really hit the jackpot when I stumbled upon this gem.

Most Wonderdul Winter Vacation

  • 5 of 5

I want to start by saying that this house is the most beautiful home I have visited since I started renting homes. You will get exactly what you see in the pictures. The house was clean and extremely well stock with all household needs. We didn't have to by a single soap. When you are traveling outside your home there's no better feeling that knowing where you going it will be just like home. Thomas was amazing. He made the booking easy and fast. He was always there when we called. The location was great also. Close to all major skiing resorts. This home will be my choice for the years to come when visiting the Poconos.

Best Kept Secret

  • 5 of 5

Where to start with this gem ? Firstly, Thomas is the most amicable and accommodating to deal with - felt more like a transaction between friends rather than business. Very pleasant and professional. The entire trip was fabulous and beyond what we could have imagined. Our group was large, celebrating a special birthday, and we could not have had a better time at this clean, majestic, hidden gem. The ease with transport to main stores and bars is remarkable, as well as the house itself was so stocked all we needed was food and drink. I would recommend this home to the fullest and we plan to come back several more times within the year and hopefully years to come !! Thanks again Thomas, and we are looking forward to many more memories at The Ingleside. Beautiful inside and out and great property management. :)

City kids in the country!

WOW! What a home. This is not a rental, this is someones dream come true! More like a bed and breakfast feeling to it, you are immediately welcomed by the grand porch and gorgeous wood paneling that the pictures do not do justice. It is super clean!

We escaped Manhattan for Labor Day Weekend, 13 of us (3 couples, and 10 single people all in our 30's) looking to relax and BBQ. The area is awesome, there is literally the best Pub/Restaurant about a 5 minute walk across the main road. Very helpful when you want to drink with the locals and have a great meal without having to drive anywhere. There is a huge game room above the garage that came in handy when some of the group wanted to stay up late and play games while the rest of the house wanted to sleep. The house is furnished with every comfort you can imagine (i mean I even found a lint roller in the closet) the attention to detail is truly unreal.

Thomas the owner is truly the easist to work with, he was super responsive to all of our needs and concerns and was always promt with responding to email. I will absolutely be back!!

This incredible home on 3/4's of an acre is located on a beautiful and quiet residential street near Lake Naomi. There is a large, wide open bonus room above the 6 car garage that is heated in winter. In nicer weather, over a dozen windows open wide to let in the fresh, filtered air that the pine trees create. This large room serves as a second TV area/game room, making it a great place for the kids to have some fun without disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the home! Or put the kids to bed, and let the parents have a blast!
