This *4 bedroom, 3 bathroom apartment is part of a renovated 1900s historic duplex! Located in Iuka Ravine, this duplex is a 10-minute walk to Ohio State campus and a short Uber to the Short North.
*Note: Bedroom 4, equipped with 1 full bathroom and 3 queen beds, is only open to reservations of 4 & up guests. This is one half of a duplex. The other half of the house is also available (Iuka I).
Pet dogs are allowed for a $35 fee per dog per day, max $200/month per dog. See below for details.

* Please note: Bedroom 4, equipped with 1 full bathroom and 3 queen beds, is only open to reservations of 4 & up guests. This is one half of a duplex. The other half of the house is also available (Iuka I).

There is an additional guest fee per person/night for the 4th guest and up. The guest fee will be calculated on the quote breakdown when entering the correct guest count into the reservation or inquiry. Only registered, paying overnight guests are permitted at the residence. Guest fees ensure the home can be offered at cost effective prices to both small and large groups (a home may be able to host 10+ overnight guests but a lower rate allows 2-4 guests to rent it as well). Please ensure you have the correct guest count and make any changes before the start of your reservation. Refunds for additional guest fees are under the host’s discretion.

Some sound can travel between the two sides of the duplex. We observe quiet hours from 9PM to 9AM. If there is a noise issue, please feel free to contact us and vice versa, we will contact you. If you perceive noise will be an issue, please consider renting a home that does not have another unit under the same roof.

Start-up quantities of amenities such as toilet paper and paper towels are provided. Replenishment is up to the guest as they see fit.

There is no handicap access. There are steps to enter the front and back porches of the house and no bedrooms or bathrooms on the first floor.

Guests with allergies and related medical issues and/or sensitivities- we cannot 100% guarantee that the vacation rental is free of pet dander, cigarette smoke, air fresheners/cleaning product scents, or any other elements that may trigger a medical problem or sensitivity.

Pet dogs are allowed for a $35 fee per dog per day, max $200/month per dog. We will adjust pet fees over 1 day stays after your reservation is made. Please notify us upon booking if you are bringing your pet pup. Pet damages/stains are subject to additional fees for replacement, etc. For insurance purposes, please confirm your dog is not the following: Akita, Chow, American Staffordshire Terrier, Pitbull, Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Wolf hybrids, Presa Canarios, or any mix of these breeds/any dog with a bite history.

House guests have parking for the 2 spots directly behind your side of the duplex – please stay on your half of the parking lot.

$69.00 non-refundable Damage Waiver fee is REQUIRED for all reservations. Damage waiver covers up to $1,500.00 of accidental damage. Damages deemed intentional or by negligence will not be covered by the damage waiver and will be the sole responsibility of the guest. If Ozone machines are needed due to strong odors of any sort, a $500.00 fee will be incurred by the guest.

For your safety and protection of the home, there are exterior cameras located on the front and rear of the home. There are no interior cameras.
We are available to guests by email, phone, or text. We know our neighborhood very well (!) and care about our community- let us know when you need something or have any questions!
The duplex is located near Iuka Ravine on N. 4th St. We have lived here in the past and would again! There is a mix of musicians, professors, students, and working professionals live in the area. There are bus stops nearby and a nice park, the ravine, down the hill (about a one minute walking distance) from the house.
You will have access to your side of the duplex and the fenced backyard. The backyard and parking are shared with the other side of the duplex.
Upon entering this duplex, you will find the living room and the half bathroom. The smart TV, sans cable service, is set up for your personal streaming accounts. At the rear of the house, you will find the dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is supplied with every tool and small appliance you need to prepare a decent meal, along with some cooking staples such as olive oil, salt, and pepper. We also have a coffee machine with Folgers coffee, teas, creamer, and sugar.

The second floor of the duplex is where you will find 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom with a shower bath. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The back bedroom also has an outdoor covered porch!

The third floor of the duplex is open to groups with 4 or more guests. This floor is an open room that has 3 queen beds and a newly renovated full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The washer and dryer are in the unfinished basement of the house and can be accessed by the door between the living and dining rooms.

This duplex has a porch in the front of the house. The fenced-in backyard is shared with the other half of the duplex and has a grill for cooking out along with a fire pit.

There is a ton to do on High Street and the up-and-coming N. 4th Street. It's super easy to get around using any GPS mapping.

Local Tip: Columbus meter maids love to give tickets- read the parking street signs in the downtown area and on neighborhood streets!

Easy commute downtown
This duplex worked out just fine for our commute downtown for a conference. Parking off-street was a great advantage. The walls are thin, so you can hear anyone renting out the other half of the house, but the owners were very responsive when we needed to reach out for a small issue.

Great for larger group - better than hotel rooms
Had a great stay while we attended Ohio Beef Expo at the fairgrounds/convention center. House was spacious, beds comfortable, generally clean. Being from more rural area, the noise of an old home inside a city was quite different for us - can hear people talking outside/nextdoor, traffic noise. I felt safe. Really appreciated the shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Only a few suggestions to get to five stars: - Extra extension cords or outlets (some lamps could not be used because no outlet close enough) - we all have devices that needed charging - The walkway in needs some serious maintenance - it's quite muddy - add sheer curtains for privacy or window clings -house maintenance - a couple of pretty weak spots in floor, nails working loose on stairs. - the alley needs some major work to fill potholes - it's pretty rough to get to the parking lot. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I'm in the area again.

Why they chose this property

This 1920s property allowed us just have fun. It didn't require a lot of renovations and the neighborhood is a mix of people- very hip, relaxed area away from the hustle and bustle of the Short North and OSU campus area. The place is very spacious- great for traveling with a large group but having different living spaces to SPREAD out.

Please note the following about our apartments: Our homes range from 97 to 135 years old. If you are in search of a perfect, flawless place to stay, you may want to look for newer build. We love being hosts- providing a home to stay in and delivering a unique experience when visiting this city but please keep in mind this is not a 5 star hotel, it’s a home.
