Overview

About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 2

Central Air Conditioning. Minimum stay is 7 nights for July & August stays, with only Saturday check-in/check-out offered during these months. Rates are as posted. Occupancy is strictly limited to 2 guests. Non-smoking unit, no BBQ grills or pets allowed.

This top floor unit faces Provincetown Harbor straight on, and is located at the end of the pier in a popular, well maintained, and historic condominium complex known as Jones Locker in the quiet West End of town. From the unit, guests are able to see the Wood End and Long Point lighthouses, as well as Long Point which is the land's end of the Cape Cod peninsula. Sit-down water views from every window. The unit was completely renovated in 2005, and recent upgrades include tile flooring throughout, Subzero drawer style refrigerator/freezer, furniture, and central a/c. With the unit's location on a pier, the high tide goes completely under the building, so the experience is like staying on a boat! Sit on the exclusive use deck and watch boats and swimmers in the water, listen to the waves, feel the breeze, and smell the fresh salt air. It doesn't get any better than this!

The in-town location on the harbor is close enough to walk to everything (restaurants, shops, beaches, entertainment, marinas, gyms) but is in the quiet West End of town.

The unit is compact, but has an efficient layout so it feels larger. In addition to the kitchen, living room and bedroom, the exclusive use deck is like having additional living space.

There is one full (not tandem) offsite parking space nearby on Point St. With its walk to everything location and short taxi ride to commuter service via Cape Air to Boston Logan Airport and Ferry Service from Provincetown's MacMillan Pier, guests do not need a car.

Bicycle rack on the property and several bicycle shops in town offering rentals.

On-site shared coin-operated washer and dryer.

Secure broadband internet service / WiFi included.

Driveway in front of the building is convenient to unload luggage, groceries, etc.

Maximum occupancy for the unit is two people.

The condominium association rules strictly prohibit TENANT'S PETS and ALL BBQ GRILLS.

This property has been inspected and licensed by the Provincetown Board of Health, and has a current valid rental certificate.

About Ray

I am a native of Massachusetts, and have vacationed on Cape Cod all my life. Through my experience and knowledge of the area, I can help make your stay one you will enjoy and want to repeat year after year.

Why Ray chose Cape Cod

From the perspectives of location and views, this property is unmatched. You can walk to just about anything, or you can just sit, relax, and take in the view.

What makes this condo unique

It's location upstairs on a pier makes it unique. When it's high tide, you'll feel like you're staying on a boat without leaving land. And there is an assigned parking spot nearby - a luxury in this waterfront location.

Blissful experience!

  • 5 of 5

We spent another two wonderful weeks in Ray's condo. This place has the best views in Provincetown. The condo itself is lovely. It is elegant, comfortable and well-equipped.

Great place

  • 5 of 5

The ac unit in the living area drips, a lot, but otherwise it's a great place to stay. Right over the water, great views, quiet location and didn't hear any neighbor noise. Will definitively consider it again

Owner's Response: I'm first learning from this review of the condensation problem experienced by this guest. The central air conditioning system (mini-split style) is only 2 1/2 years old. The system was just tuned up for the summer season. After the tenants departure, the cleaner did find both the baseboard heat and a/c running. This caused the a/c to freeze up, which caused the condensation leak. There haven't been any issues with the a/c since.

so beautiful it was hard to leave

  • 5 of 5

The views here are magnificent; some of the best we have seen in all our years of travel. Beautiful at sunrise (which you can see if you get up early enough), sunset (which, although not directly visible, still alters the colors of the water and sky), as well as at low and high tides. At low tide you can walk out (what felt like) forever, and at high tide, if you are a swimmer or into any water activities, you just walk down the steps and fall into the water. The interior is small yet the space is both comfortable and highly functional. As people who cook while on vacation, we were pleasantly surprised by the capacity of the subzero refrigerator and freezer. Our sole complaint was that shade was hard to come by; there is none on the unit's deck and although we could have had shade under the main deck, there was often too much water under there to sit. However, the abundance of windows meant that, even if sitting inside, there were still fantastic views. The west end is relatively quiet, depending on your neighbors. For people without mobility issues, walking - and, even more so, biking - in and out of town is easy. It was also easy to get from here to the breakwater and, by bike, to the Province Lands bike trail. Also, Ray was very responsive and easy to deal with; always a big plus.

A relaxing adventure

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our 1st visit to CapeCod in Provincetown while staying in one of Ray's nice condo units. We arrived in a storm at night & had considerable difficulty finding our condo & getting into it. Our taxi driver was most helpful in finding our condo as we had no street # to identify it. Once finally settled in we greatly enjoyed exploring the town & all it offers. We enjoyed our private deck, wonderful ocean views, quiet surroundings, & the comfortable features of the unit. A great place to refresh your spirit!

Owner's Response: Previously, I have sent the arrival information to guests in a pdf email attachment. I now realize that email attachments can be problematic. As a result of this guest's feedback, I have added arrival information including the property address to the text portion of the pre-arrival email that future guests will receive. Also, please note that the street number is clearly marked and visible from the street and the unit number is marked as well. This should make for a smooth arrival!

5 days of heaven

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo. It's the perfect size for two, and the location couldn't be better. The owner was attentive to our needs, and we didn't have many as everything was there that we needed. It's in a beautiful part of town, and just a few minutes away from downtown, bike riding in Province Lands and whale watching off of Race Point (from the beach!). The best was reading on the deck as the tide came in directly underneath us. Really, it was bliss.

The in town location on the harbor is close enough to walk to everything (restaurants, shops, beaches, entertainment, gyms) but is tucked away in the quiet West End of town.

Jones Locker is located on the water side of Commercial St near Point St. It's 10 or so buildings east of The Red Inn.
