I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to tell you about the house of Biac. It’s truly difficult to find words to describe this place and these people. The vineyard and winery are beyond compare and, of course, the wines they create are stellar. If you can get Tony to give you a tour, you will be doubly lucky! It is easy to find and near the lovely small town of Langoiran where you can find most anything you’ll need. But to truly appreciate the place, you must stay in one of their guesthouses. We were lucky enough to book the lovely Pin for 4 nights. First, the place is beautiful and very clean, it is cozy and the outside veranda is divine for lunch, dinner or wine anytime. The little kitchen is stocked and very functional, the bed is wonderfully comfortable, the linens are all soft and the bath includes all the toiletries you may need. The TV and Wifi work very well. The pool is refreshing and easy. In short, there is nothing you will want for. However, the most stellar part of this property are Youmna and Tony, along with their daughter Yasmina. Outgoing and generous with a smile, they greeted us with open arms and we were immediately at home. Youmna had been so helpful with recommendations of restaurants in Bordeaux, where we’d come from, and in the area, as well as vineyards. We didn’t need anything for our stay but if we had, I know it would have been easy to receive. And we were able to do laundry in a lovely space, which on a 20 day trip, is necessary. In short, we felt like we were visiting family we actually like and I was almost teary to leave. We own a B&B in Austin Texas and it could be said that makes us high-standard guests but it wouldn’t matter here. Nothing, truly nothing, could be done better or with more care. Stay here if it is at all within the area of your visit, we simply give it our very highest recommendation.
Probably the most relaxing holiday with a stunning location. The views are so impressive and being in the middle of the vineyard gives a great sense of serenity. The accomodation was ideal with wonderful settings to sit outside or in. The pool was fenced off and had steps all the way around so very good for small children.
A very peaceful place to rest and re-energise.
