The condo is located in a prime location in New Orleans Historical French Quarter. Just a few blocks from Bourbon
Street. The location is perfect! As you can see in the pictures the 1350 sqft two bedroom, two full bath condo has just recently been renovated and furnshed. Everything in the building and unit is highend. You will not be dissapointed by the accommodation or the location. You are within walking distance of everything New Orleans has to offer. You are even in walking distance of The Mercedes Benz Super Dome. If you want to experience New Orleans the way it should be this is the location for you...
The most common definition of the French Quarter includes all the land stretching along the Mississippi River from Canal Street to Esplanade Avenue (12 blocks) and inland to North Rampart Street (seven to nine blocks). It equals an area of 78 sq. blocks. Some definitions, such as city zoning laws, exclude the properties facing Canal Street, which had already been redeveloped by the time architectural preservation was considered, and the section between Decatur Street and the river, much of which had long served industrial and warehousing functions. Any alteration to structures in the remaining blocks is subject to review by the Vieux Carré Commission, which determines whether the proposal is appropriate for the historic character of the district. Its boundaries as defined by the City Planning Commission are: Esplanade Avenue to the north, the Mississippi River to the east, Canal Street, Decatur Street and Iberville Street to the south and the Basin Street, St. Louis Street and North Rampart Street to the west. Bourbon Street is a famous and historic street that spans the length of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana. When founded in 1718, the city was originally centered around the French Quarter. New Orleans has since expanded, but 'The Quarter' remains the cultural hub, and Bourbon Street is the street best known by visitors.
The most popular section of Bourbon Street is 'Upper Bourbon Street', an eight-block section of popular tourist attractions. Bourbon Street begins at Canal Street (across Canal is Carondelet Street in the New Orleans Central Business District). The straight street continues downriver, southwest to northeast a few blocks from and roughly paralleling the Mississippi River, and comes to its terminus at Pauger Street in the Faubourg Marigny. (In the 19th century, Pauger was named as a continuation of Bourbon Street.) Bourbon Street was named in honor of the House of Bourbon, the ruling French Royal Family, at the time of the city's founding.
From Dumaine Street to Pauger, Bourbon Street is largely residential with scattered businesses still catering to locals. Also on this stretch of Bourbon exists (Jean) Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, which is a very popular bar, showing the style of the original French buildings (before the Spanish iron balconies) which burned in the first Great New Orleans Fire (1788).
Though largely quiet during the day, Bourbon Street comes alive at night, particularly during the French Quarter's many festivals. Most popular among these is the annual Mardi Gras celebration, when Bourbon Street teems with hundreds of thousands of tourists. Local open container laws in the French Quarter allow drinking alcoholic beverages in the street in plastic containers (drinking from glass or cans is prohibited). The streets are packed with tourists drinking Hurricanes, Hand Grenades and Huge Ass Beers - a large plastic cup of draft beer marketed to tourists at a low price. Other festivals and events focusing on Bourbon Street include French Quarter Festival and Southern Decadence.
One of the oldest and most popular restaurants on Bourbon Street is Galatoire's, which was founded in 1905 by Jean Galatoire. Known for years by its characteristic line snaking down Bourbon Street, patrons would wait for hours just to get a table — especially on Fridays.
We just stayed in this condo last weekend. We had an amazing time in the Big Easy partly due to the location we were in. Just blocks from everything, it was so easy to walk everywhere. The building is completely secure, across the street from HOB and a terrific little Jazz club. The decor is so beautiful down to the oversized beds, super comfortable! There is everything you need, towels, paper products etc.and if you wanted to stay in for a night dishware and pots/pans;although we weren't there much as we wanted to really make the most of our trip.

We had a great time in NOLA. The condo is really nice - just like the pictures. It's within easy walking distance to just about everything you'd want to see. As mentioned in other reviews, their is a fair amount of noise from the alley behind the building. We turned on the bathroom fan at night and that was enough to drown most of it out.
The only reason I gave four stars instead of five was due to the lack of response to issues with the condo while we were there. Prior to the trip communication was great. I emailed the owners regarding the ice maker spitting ice out randomly In the middle of the night and the dryer being broken and never heard back :(
Overall, though, it was a great stay.
We spent the long weekend with friends and this condo was perfect for us. Hard wood floors, high ceilings, exposed brick, leather living room furniture, everything was clean, comfortable and ready to go when we arrived. The bedrooms don't share a wall and they each have their own bathroom so it was like having the privacy of a hotel room while still being able to hang out, socialize and relax when we weren't out and about. The location is within walking distance to all of the French Quarter attractions and conveniences. The washer and dryer in the room were an added bonus. Other reviewers have mentioned the noise in the street, but it wasn't a deal breaker for any of the folks in our group. Small price to pay for being in such close proximity to fun. Will definitely try to stay here again the next time we're in town.
This condo was perfect for our long weekend in NOLA. Initially, we were supposed to have 2 couples stay in the unit and it ended up that it was just the two of us. It would work great for 4 adults and not too big for just 2. You can't beat the location if you want to be close to the action. As with the other comments, the mornings are noisy, but you are in the city, so you have to expect it. We didn't need earplugs but we are both sound sleepers. We didn't make much use of the kitchen other than to store leftovers. There are too many places in the city to eat to cook your own food. The unit was clean and nicely decorated. The owners responded quickly to any questions we had, and we would definitely stay here again. The weather was also fantastic in October.
We arrived in New Orleans not knowing what to really expect with regard to the location of the condo and how easy it would be to access the city. We were very happy with what we found. The condo is in a great location, being close enough to everything a tourist would want to visit and see. Restaurants nearby were good and explore a little and you will find even better. The hosts were very accommodating and this was appreciated. We must be heavy sleepers as the noise didn't affect us. The only thing I can suggest is an information booklet on good places to eat, shop and visit, maybe some TV instructions too as it took a while to work it out. Loved the place and would definitely recommend
