I am English and I came skiing and married a mountain guide
and ski instructor. We built the chalet in 1963. He died many years ago and I stayed in this lovely valley.
Teresa Staeger purchased this apartment in 1963
It is ideally situated in the middle of the village but off the street in its own garden.
We had an amazing stay in Lauderbrunnen. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a few steps away from the town and waterfall. Teresa was few welcoming and could not have been a better host. Thank you for everything....we hope to come back to Switzerland soon.
Located in an amazing location! Lovely town. Chalet is dated.
We are a family of 4 (kids are 3 and 7) and were allowed to bring our two small dogs with us. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. We were able to prepare several meals in our room and save $$ on dining (the restaurant options in the area were good (although reservations are recommended for dinner), but food in Switzerland is generally very expensive). The pull out couch was pretty uncomfortable for adults but perfect for kids (if not for this, I would have given 5 stars!). I highly recommend this property for families. We spent most of our time sledding and playing in the snow in the beautiful village of Murren.
My husband and I, along with 2 Aunts stayed in the apartment. It is functional, clean, nicely furnished with a FABULOUS view! The balcony is wonderful .Our Hostess could not have been nicer and more accomodating. The town of Lauterbrunnen is lovely to stroll with everything that you would need within walking distance. We took the train up to Kleine Scheidigg and had a lovely hike down to Wengen. We would highly recommend it.
The Chalet is perfect! It is no more than a 5 minute walk from anywhere in the village. From the balcony you can see Jungfrau, Staubbach Falls, and a beautiful view of the valley. Trümmelbach Falls is a must see and it is easily walkable in about 30 - 45 minutes. Our hostess “Teresa” was very helpful in pointing out some of the sights that we might have missed. Lauterbrunnen and the Chalet are most definitely on our "do again" list.
The flat is in a beautiful chalet, in the middle of Lauterbrunnen. Only a few steps from hotels, restaurants, shops, bakery etc, but still very silent, and with a spectacular view - The Staubbach fall, mountains, green hills. In the flat you can find all that you need to make your own meals etc. We have realy enjoyed the stay, and will most likely come back!
